What's she gonna do? Brother? When Jeff Townsend media runs wild on you? Molly? Alright, alright, alright, welcome to another experience. It's the build um On Experience. It's the greatest experience in the world. It's a life changing experience. It's my favorite experience. Bill. How's this experience for you? Man? The keyword here is experience exactly. That's rough. That's all I had with that one. I tell you a lot. Man, I'm all wrestling out, man. After that weekend Holy cramp. You know, I was listening to you know, I'm a I'm a big fan of Dave Lagreca, so I listened to Busted Open. That was after conversation. She was. By the time you get to Monday, you're just done. You. I mean, every fan watching the shows that, every fan has to be physically and emotionally just just drained. Man. So that's that's the one everybody waits for, and it's well worth it. But you got to be done after that. Oh it's so brutal, I mean, it really is. Uh. Then I made the mistake of watching the roll after so you could be you figured I can get through it. Man. They're all after many it used to be something you know, it used you know, and I think it's I think it changes as not only as the business keeps changing and evolving. I think the fan base two. But I think when you have eighty thousand people both nights, that energy's gone for Monday. I mean, as much as I'm sure they some of them wanted to get rowdy, because that's what, right, That's what the raw after me and he is known for is the fans take over. But the rowdiest bunch of them all, Yeah, yeah, and that's just not the case. Uh well, I'm at the crowd was good everything. I just think, yeah, a lot of expectations coming out of those you know, you want to see a bunch of um people brought up, you want to see returns, you want to see all these different things, and it's kind of the expectations of that particular program or pretty dang high. So yeah, yeah that Monday is always always the the show where it's usually all out, like well, all hands on deck. And but it was what a what a weekend? What what a she's what a just what a week don't even north to say what a weekend? Bill? We'll go ahead and kick it off here. But before we jump into that, I do want to mention that there was a death in the wrestling family. So w W Hall of Famer obviously, uh Bushwhacker, but Robert Miller's real name correct. Yeah, Uh, he passed away at the age of what is he seventy eight? Actually didn't even realize he was that old. Yeah, I realized, actually thought they were both Actually I thought they were both a little bit older than that. Oh you thought they were a little bit older. Yeah, I thought. I really thought they were both hitting that eighty mark. But seventy eight and just uh, you know, I think we learned earlier in the week that he was not feeling well and he was kind of ill, and you know, there was some support and and and always prayers asked for when when the guys are or the the girls, everybody surrounds each other with that. And then and seventy eight or not, you know, he's gone too soon. But what a what a talent? What a what a talent? What? Yeah? To me, their contributions have been sick, going back to the sheepherders and and all that stuff. So um, just a just a you know, it's it's a sad time when when when when somebody it's their time but he leaves, you know, I always say they leave behind such a legacy of what they've done for the business, and and and the memories you have with those particular people are worth so much more than their you know, their celebrity, you know, so that you get to know those guys I was. I was honored to work with them many times and to travel in the Northeast with them. Uh, just a laugh riot, a wealth of knowledge and always always looking to keep everybody working. So yeah, yeah, bus should be sadly missed. The information I'm going to use for this episode. This recording here is actually from the team at No DQ. Aaron Rift, I actually like No DQ a lot. Okay, sorry Dave Meltzer. As we will go through the review of Wrestlomania, I will read some guidelines for them. But to kick things off, Bill, there is actually huge announcement right well, dow came out with so Endeavor Group Holdings the UFC people all also on UFC. They announced that they have signed an agreement to form a new publicly listed company consisting of two iconic, completely global sports brands. Of course, UFC and WW they will own fifty one percent. How in Vince McMahon and the shareholders will be forty nine. Right as it goes on here, just to kind of touch up on a little bit, together, UFC and DOB will have a global reach, impressive scale on presidented distribution and it combined this, you know, the last year at the end was two point four billion, and then ten percent annual growth since twenty nineteen. So it goes on to actually talk about how these are both valued at They were obviously assessed in all that through the sailing process, but over twenty one billion dollars, which we kept hearing that the WB was going to be for sell for nine billion, and some people were like, oh, there's no way it's going to be nine billion dollars. But between the two of them, yeah, I mean it actually assessed higher at that ENDEV bought them for nine point one billion dollars. Nine point one nine point one they bought Wwe go back how many years when Vince brought bought it from his dad. Vince paid one million dollars and then people thought he was insane when Vince paid a million dollars for it, and then x amount of years later nine point one billion dollars and then combined, to your point, combined, over a twenty billion dollars company has now been formed. And if there's anything you could top Wrestlemanian News, it's the fact that, yeah, WrestleMania one hundred over one hundred and sixty thousand people for both nights. And by the way, we sold the company and the name of the company that bought it is Endeavor. So everybody at WrestleMania got future in all in one night. I knew you were gonna say that. Bill. I knew you were gonna say that. Dane. I've been waiting. I've been waiting. I'm like, okay, it's time. Wait. Wait. Well, we knew this was gonna We knew something was gonna happen, right, And did you watch this c NBC interview they had I but yeah, I so many things going on in your mind where you're watching and listening to it, and and you know, of course it's gonna be the Kumbaya moment, and everybody's we're friends for twenty three years, and you know they they wanted three billion, but I know I wanted to pay him nine billion, So you know they listen the what is it The fat Cats are gonna get fatter? And yeah, I'm hopefully and I say this would all respect everyone. Hopefully the band plays on, you know, hope, but I already already see it and you already hear it that it's making changes. And in the in the world of U combat sports, there's already people talking about this guy or this girl's crossing over. And so you know, it's funny because how many years ago when Brock was the he'll never do anything, and Bobby Lash he'll never do anything, and Jack yeah, you know, Jack Swagger will never do anything. And all these guys and punk went over there and now they're going to be crossing over to this side. Um, so it's it's it's just an interesting time. But I could not believe that something actually took the headlines away from WrestleMania. Yeah, it was kind of crazy that it all happened pretty fast, right, And it's kind of funny because you go back two months I think when actually when we first started recording this podcast, we the Saudi Arabia news came out right, and uh couldn't have been further from that, luckily, because I think that would have been a far stretch. I would have been hella hard to get sponsorships. Yeah. Um, but I think this is a it's gonna happen. And when you when you really break get down, it looks like Vince McMahon obviously becomes you know, he's still what chairman of the board, he's and for my understanding, he is going to be in charge. He's chief executive officer. No, no, that's okay, okay, got you here. So Nick CON's still going to be president. He's Nick CON's still president. And apparently yep, Dana White will still be president of the UFC so and then you know, Triple H will still hold his position. But Vince overseas it all and he is executive so basically he not much of a change necessarily, but I guess the majority owner could flex their muscles. But it sounds like they had the most respect and confidence and Vince the do it of you to continue on with what they're doing. Yeah, that's what I took away from him. I don't know about you. I mean, it was like, hey, I'm going to stay out of the way, and and that's that's truly, you know, I hope, but you always being part of some of those talent meetings for all the years and being in some of those board rooms and the position I was in the later years. You know, you hear that we don't see any changes coming anytime soon, which means by tomorrow there'll be more changes. You know. It's just that that uh, publicly respectful way of saying, Nope, everybody's still here, but there'll be some different faces, different names, and some changes. So it'll be it'll be interesting now to see what happens with Fox in USA and and all of it going forward. Thing to me, the whole thing is now a juggling act and to see who's gonna play ball or or you know where where the biggest markets are now, and they definitely want to get in in time to be a part of the negotiations for sure what these needed TV rights and things like that, so that obviously determines a lot of the worth. Absolutely good company. Well I don't, I can't, I can't fathom. I can't fathom one billion dollars nine point one billion. Like if you're sitting there in your Vince like I defy anybody to go, Vince saysn't know what the hell he's doing. Say what you want about him, whatever the news, whatever the dirt cheese, whatever the Internet, the man butter mustache, whatever the whatever the colors hair is today, and whatever he's doing. He bought the company from his dad for one million dollars at a time when a million dollars was a lot a lot of money, and he just sold it for nine point one billion. So hats off to everybody. Here's the worst part if you look at it, and I didn't mean to cut you off. As I sit there and think about it, still, Nick Khan comes out and says that everybody got this great bonus too, So it's almost like, you know, we we we sold the company. Congratulates to everybody. Here's this great bonus. And that's what leads me to my wrestling bread of going. Everybody got bonuses and all the emloyees and all this stuff, and now someone's gonna get the rug pulled out from U. That's just by wrestling brain thinking like the mini he announced, everybody got a great bonus, and the company's really in a good spot. Unfortunately, as as this business goes, as the wrestling business, that means someone's someone's not going to be there, and I think the talent piece. I'm not saying it's safe, because that's certainly not the case, but I definitely when you're thinking of office structure things like that, I think those will be that those can be heavily impacted now that you have another group overseeing at all. Yeah, and in the in the reports, what I think, the WWE side has four board members and the Endeavor side has six board members, so they have the majority. Yeah, so it'll it'll be interesting. I know Vince's relationship with them with Ari is strong, but you know, as business goes, you wonder how it's gonna how it's gonna uh play out. But it listen, if nothing else, if nothing else happens, wrestling is back in every conversation across the country, a growth the world. It's CNN, ESPN, every radio station, every news station in the in the world's been talking about this merger. And once again he's he's got the whole world talking about WWE. So yeah, and you talked about the respect factor, and they talked about that, how they had worked together for over twenty years, and he was very high on the fact that you mentioned that Vince mcmann's been able to do and what you know, as far as even cable television, that the pay per view some of the revolutionary stuff that some of the people that might be newer generation may not realize, some of the impacts that Vince mcmah's had on on everything from UFC now to all the other pay per view stuff. I have a kid coming and interrupt me when we're live here. Yeah, that's all good. There is legitimately two doors between the outside world in this studio and them, and they crossed the barriers and they still yeah, they don't care. They don't care anyway. No, So I think it'll be exciting. And I think I was probably hanging over people's heads a lot. So that's out of the way. Now you get back to time to things that matter. I think a lot of people, maybe maybe for people who thought wrestling, are still naive to the fact that how big wrestling really is wrestling, whether you call pro wrestling sports entertainment, let's just say, ww, how big it really is. Yes, they know we travel the world, Yes they know they do all these things. But the fact that Vince has had a relationship with this this ari and you know, they've been doing business and everybody's starting to learn Vince's impact not only on sports entertainment, but to your point, pay per view, buy rates, networks, cable stations, how they stream things, you know, the WW Network into Peacock, Like people really need to understand that it's not just a bunch of goofy meathead character wrestlers and all these things. These these these men and women are global stars in so many different avenues of the entertainment business that it's unreal. And I think that's what what's amazing. If you sit back and just listen to a go holy crap, I thought these were just people I saw on Monday night for three hours, Like no, and behind the scenes. Vince truly has had his hand in so many different things and being like the innovator of so many things. So it's it's kind of cool if you sit back and peel back all the other layers and listen to this success story of Vincent Kennedy McMahon's. It's unbelievable what he's accomplished. So hats off to I always say, I've been grateful for the opportunities, and all the people should be thanking him for their opportunities that he afforded us and the lifestyles he's afforded us. It's kind of cool. There's a lot of people concerned with the creative element now. They a lot of people are saying they've loved to work that Paul Leave Triple H has done in the last eight months. They're concerned that Vince McMahon was in charge of Raw last night it was bad, right, Wrestleman a night too, It's bad. Even I didn't think it was that bad. We'll get into that, but we address that issue that, I mean, the creative side that people are very worried about now. Yeah, and I so I've heard some things and you and I talk about I'm a fan of Busted Open Radio. There there buddies of mine, Bully Ray and Dave Lagreca and Mark Henry and all the guys and girls and and you know a lot of people on the internet and we call them the dirt sheets, people complaining, Oh, Vince's back in charge, and and it's gonna be this, and it's gonna be that. And I think if that's what you're watching for, if I go back to if that's what you're getting out of the program you're watching, then you're truly watching for the wrong reason. Nobody likes change. There was a lot of people who didn't like change when when Hunter Triple H took over, because they thought it was going to be very nx tish and they found that it wasn't. Everything keeps, you know, everything keeps going forward. And then that was the big talk, Well, Vince is part of Creative because now matches were cut. Well here's how you know matches were cut. You read the Internet, or you're listening to an Internet show, or you're listening to rumors and spoilers and all these things. That's where I say stop it. And if you're not a fan of Vince McMahon, don't watch the show if you feel like he's gonna take over Creative and it's gonna go backwards. By the way, I don't know what backwards is to Everybody still successful. Even when people said they didn't like it, apparently did because they're tuning in and this this sale and this merger and whatever you want to call it. This new form corporation happened on Sunday night during WrestleMania. So everybody who's upset about Vince taking over Creative or now he's gonna take over everything. You can bet. Let's let's just say that I would bet that Vince Vince is now involved again in all aspects of the business. Would I would venture to say that Vince has his suggestions and comments in certain parts of creative. As a businessman, you you still wouldn't mess with what's been successful for the past x amount of months and things going there. So now with this new just because you sold and you're in this big you know, lack of bed terms this endeavor. Now we're this big collaboration of these two companies merging. Why would why would anyone think that that's the time to really let's throw wrenches in the gears and screw up the process. And that's the part that bothers me about spoilers and the internet and people listening to other We're so influenced by other people's opinions and takes of what's going on that we stop watching the product for the product, like if you don't like. But that's what we do, right, And I'll use the example that I heard this morning. Your football team loses, you want to fire the coach, you want to fire the players. They all stink, they're no good. And at the end of the day, once it's over and you get that off your chest, you're still loyal to the team. You still want to see them succeed. So it's just listen. He's the hot topic. Vince is the hot topic. But if you're watching it and you're I say, if you're worried about Vince ruin, don't watch it. But for the love of Pete, stay off the stinking sites and form your own opinion. You man form your own opinion because everybody's got one. WrestleMania ends now and then, or not even talk about the main event anymore. We're talking about Vince McMahon gonna ruin the program now, That's all I'm seeing. Everywhere, Yeah, from every dirt sheet, from every news outlet that involved wrestling, have been individuals that like watching wrestling. Every radio station that does it, every talk show, all the you know, Serious XM and all these other ones, and everybody. Well, but even on Fight Radio, the boxing Jerry Cooney, you know, he's on the BA part of it, and they're talking about now because of the crossover of combat sports and boxers are now going to get involved in all this, you know, Tyson fury guys and stuff like that. And even they're saying, well, yeah, now Vince is gonna take it. How do they know, you know, they know they read it or someone they thought knows something about the business. They're taking that side of it instead of just forming your own opinion. So if everybody started from from Monday, and then let's go from there and see truly you know what's going on. But if you think the Vince or not, it's nobody's job to make the product bad. And I defy anyone to sit in that chair for one week. And I'm speaking as someone who's timed the raws, who sat there and timed itn't on the headsets and in production trucks, and I defy anyone to do it and go, holy crap, I take it back. This is a freaking monster of a job. And you're not going to make everybody happy. And guess what's happy. Everybody's talking about a good batter indifferent. We're all talking about it. And if you if you're only talking about it, the back on Vince, stop watching a product, watch something else. Vince is not taking down. W W. Yeah, let's see here. I did want to touch up I gotta find it here. Oh no, you're right, there's always going to be somebody that's not happy. I mean always for sure. I mean that's just the way it's kind to be. But then it goes into the back too, and we can go down a big rabbit hole with this because someone in the back who's an employee or an independent contractor isn't happy about it. Now they voiced their opinion to one of the sheets, or somebody wants to hear their voice, and they're gonna get themselves over. So there's always gonna be someone a naysayer. Stop, yeah, be a fan. Be a fan of it, unless you're in that business, being employed by WWE or Endeavor or UFC or something. Stop Stop listening to everybody else's opinion. Form your own. And then let's see in a month if we're still talking about how Vince has ruined the creative process and all that's. Well, let's go ahead and jump into night one. Then at the end we'll touch about some of the it's called the most successful cool event Dw's had. Well we can get into that, like, like I did want to mention again, I'm using air and drift articles from No DQ let's go ahead and start off the night one. Obviously, my first impressions were, man, this just looks beautiful, the set, everything, the production value that ww brings to the table, Like you watch aw and it's like like the wrestling in a cave. It's dark, kind of reminds me of the old Ring of Honor, like watching of Honor. Then you look, you go to this spectacle. It's just amazing. Bill. No one, no one will ever touch, not Roh, not the former TNA, not Impact Now, not New Japan, not AEW. No one will ever touch WWE production. Noah, not their packages, not their live events, not there, not their WrestleManias, stage and all the things they do. No one will ever touch it. Truly, the WWE team is the best there is at what they do, and it was amazing to see. This is the first time all four people in my house sat and watched both nights of any wrestler really and to my casey, my oldest daughter and then my son going this is the most fun I've had watching wrestling in a long time. And I kept going back to in between the matches, look at the set, look at the way it's it's all put together. Look at the you know, because they they've had the unfortunate privilege of seeing the inside stuff. They've been behind the scenes and all those things. But to have them sit there and go this has been like the greatest weekend of wrestling. I'm going, Wow, they just turned them back, you know, I think because they could be jaded, you know, immune to all that stuff. But the pomp and circum stance by far Is is unbelievable. Yeah, they blew my mind away, but it always does. They do a great job. So let's kick it off here. Austin Theory versus John Cena for the United States title was obviously the first matchup of Night one. Here are some of the highlights. Kick it off. Miss and Snoop did the introduction. Of course, they ran down the card for this evening, and there was a make a Wish package before this match started. Several of the kids or on Yeah, several of the kids are on stage for John Cena. What is it he's done over six? Was over six hundred six? Over six hundred yeah, oh wow, so he's done ten percent. Because I think make a wish and again I'm sorry for cutting you have make a wish. I think he's done six thousand wishes. The Make a Wish as a whole, John Cena has done over ten percent of everything Make a Wish has done. Come on, wow, come on, that's incredible. And it's it's not even a publicity thing, right because you can't even cover that many. No, yeah, it's way beyond that. For John. We'll never see we'll never see all the kids and wishes he's granted, that's how many there are. And it wasn't a publicity to your point, It wasn't a publicity stunt. It wasn't hey, look what we're doing. This was John just doing his thing man, like no one else can. So to kick it off here the two head a feeling out process, and the opening moments and the classic dueling seen a Chance started up. Those those chants never they're always there, Bill, I guess that is what I'm saying. They're incredible. They're incredible, man, And it's intimidated. Like John, John accepted it many many years ago. But I could you sit there. I would have loved to have been in in theories head listening to his voice, go holy crap, this is amazing, you know, because you watch it. Somebody but until you're a part of it, you don't really appreciate it. But yeah, the crowd was in from the jump. Yeah, and I think this is I noted this moment here. Also, Theory bit at seeing his ear whow the referee didn't see, to gain the advantage. I thought that was pretty epic. Yeah, after having control for a few minutes, Theory missed a drop kick and Seena applied the STF then it used to be called STFU anyway, he bit Sena once again to break the hold. Like, my whole thing with that match is it was simple. There was no big dramatic things. It was very simple. You could follow it, and John played his hits and the kid got to follow him. And you know, to me, the end result is yep. John put that kid over to the moon and Austin Theory can't even could not be more credible than he is right now. Great, great way to start the night, great simplicity to it. Everybody could get involved. Yeah, and I had a personal interest in that match because I've known that young man since he's nine years old. Austin series right just sitting there, and that's so Casey. I always say, Casey, my oldest Casey remembers when he was young kid in my gym coming to clean the ring or pick up the heavy bags and just wanted to be around it. So so so cool to wat Sap and you. I mean, this review sums it up here. At the end, just like you said, he Cina made a standard comeback right hit the five knuckles shuffle there. He managed to get to avoid the AA therefore he got knocked down. Of course Sina got us hold on there. He tapped out, but the referee was down. He hit a low blow than a town down to win the match. Like you said, the point of this was to get Austin theory over. Yeah, and did you have John Cena on the pay per view so it was accomplished. It's fantastic. You couldn't have started it any better. So let's move on to match two here. This is one that you and I had. We were pretty vocal on our on our preview that we weren't overly over the moon excited about this tag team match. And I'll get into it here, but I thought they overachieved, and I think we'll go out even night too. We'll talk about something that ever achieved. I didn't mind this match Ron Showman and Ricochet vers Street Profits Alpha versus alf Academy versus Viking Raiders. Titus O'Neill jumped in to do his guess commentary. There was a face off with the big Man, but then everyone got in the ring and the brawl and terrupted. The Raiders cleared the ring and posed, but then Strumman took both of them in down, you know, obviously showing his strength. Gable attempted to Germans suplex Strumman and managed to execute it. But what Viking Raider went for the moon slid on dalkings, but he missed. Struman actually came off the top rope with a frog splash. The pin was broken up. What did you think about the big guy going up there? I was like, don't. It's one of those things, like it's Rustlemania, right, you gotta pull something out of your heat and you go don't. I literally think him, say it out, don't do it? Don't. Okay, someone knocked him off there? What a great what you're right? We were kind of critical about it going into it, discussing it. Here's the thing. I'm just gonna get to the point of this match. And this is the way I watched. I watched the match for what it is. I try to enjoy every aspect of it. The thing that I wrestling term, the thing that I popped foremost was when Dawkins caught Ricochet on the outside. Dawkins was the perfect base and caught him and you can pull my family. I k almost came off the sofa going that's that's it. I just was there appreciating the work of everybody's hard work and not criticizing what they were doing on why they do it. I just watched it. But when Dawkins made that amazing save on the outside for Ricochet, who does this the ridiculous things in the world, that's if I wasn't invested before then, it just had me sitting at the end of sofa like this, going, I just want to see what else they're gonna do and just to see a ball jelly like that because Montez forwards and listen, they all did great and to your point, we said, I don't know about this one. I thought it was a great like it just gelled scene in theory right into that match. But I was never more happy than to see someone and you see it all the time guys go outside and you almost wonder like he could maybe you could have done this, but it was just such a perfect base catch and he just took care of him and everybody was just moving on time. And for all those people think, yeah, they must have went over for six hours. No, hell no. They said, well, I'm gonna try this and please be there, you know. And so that was for me, that was one of the highlights of all the things we saw on night one. That to me was a highlight. When Angelo Dawkins made that catch. He talked about gelling together, did the tower of doing super X spot out of the corner. She's all six of the people executed. Well, like you said, everything was yea, And that's the night. WrestleMania is the night not for wrestling fans to go, oh, that doesn't make sense. I'd never do that. This isn't the conversation where we go, would you do that in a bar fight? This is the conversation where you go, the whole world is watching. What can you do now? And by the way, please be safe and it looks good and everybody get up from it. But I just watched those those eight cats just go and then that rolling suplex that Gable hit on Stroman, the rolling Oh she's a loom man. It it just it just kept coming and getting better and better and better, yep said wrapping up. Stroman did a Stroman Express, I believe it's called it. Hit. Ricochet hit a springboard moon salt to the outside. Back in the ring. Ricochet went for the shooting star press, Dawkins got his knees at Montez hit the frog splash to Ricochet, and Dawkins rolled up Ricochet for the win. Yeah, you're right, over overachieved. They had, they knew they had the stage and it right that that thing we hear all the time, people saying if you talk to people like that mentality of follow this. So theory and you know, scene in theory came out and it was okay, follow that. We started the night off. And then here come these eight cats and they said, okay, we'll follow it. And they kept the momentum going. Let's keep the momentum going. Here Seth Franklin Rawlins as they call him on Jim Cornett Experience versus Logan. Paul. Okay, so Logan. Paul made his entrance on his zip line and he had a microphone hooked up. I don't know if you caught all this bill, Yes, I believe he said he got it for his birthday or something. Is he just coming down on the zip line? How good is he had? Just like getting natural heat? Yeah? Just no filter, right, He's just having conversations like no one else is around, and he just kind of says what's on his mind, and it's listen. I was I was a skeptic when it first, Oh it's a one and out and all these things. But I heard him do an interview and goes talk about a good investment with their mon and he said, I expect everybody here and he truly is a fan of this business and what they do, and he really put over the the you know, the schedule that everybody has and everything. So he's, you know, to me, he's proven himself that he wants to be there and this listen, Seth Rollins is going to go out there with the Invisible Man and give you the unmiraculous eighth star match that our friend gives everybody. But I thought Seth and and Logan Paul really just kept the momentum going. It really turned out to be Um really really well done. Some great things that you gave the people some of the thought Listen, Logan, Paul and Seth Rowlins were all over the world by the end of that night cn TMZU, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, whatever other snappy chatty clicking he tickety talkingy things that are out there. Seth and Logan Paul took it and again from like for me, I'm so invested in the waving Knight's going and then presses all get out. Yeah, guys, fourth match was amazing. We'll go through it here. Conductor entrance for Seth Rawlins. They actually started. They were still singing when the match actually started, so they're definitely into it. That whole thing is over for sure. Yeah, so there's some notes on the match here. Rawlins went for the curbs thomp early, but Logan avoided it. Wrote. Logan threw Rawlins over the top rope and started taunting him. He worked over Rawlins and the crowd motivated Rawlins with more singing. Rawlins made a comeback and hit Logan with three consecutive dives to the outside. Ya. Back in the ring, the two traded several near falls, and Logan struck Rawlins with a punch but couldn't make the cover right away. That's he kind of went down to with it. So they're playing to their strengths here. I think Seth was doing a great all and I'll finish it up here in a second. I think Seth was doing a great job guiding him through this. I mean, I really do. Yeah, he's probably now the Randy's you know, been out Seth Rawlins is. He's a ring general anyway, but now Seth Rawlins is. To me, it's truly the man who can take that role from from Randy, who I think is spectacular and lead anybody to be a ring general. Seth is. Seth is that guy. Absolutely. I did love this next spot here, Rawlins was on the verge of hitting the stomp when Prime Energy drank mascot YouTuber KSID not gonna lie. I'm not familiar with who it is, but that normally it's much more popular than we are. Bill. He's on this YouTube thing. He's on this YouTube thing exactly. He's famous. Come on, now we'll get to the spot here that you know. I know that you loved here. So on the outside, he pulled Logan to safety. Logan laid out Rawlins on the announced table and went for the flying elbow. However, Rawlins pulled KSI into his spot and Logan hit the mascot, but the frogs flashed through the table. How great of timing was this? I mean it Also, it looks so Logan Paul's was spitting the drink up in the air, and as that's happening, he's not looking. He literally never looked back down before he jumped. It looked like and I mean, this was awesome. What Kate, I don't want to k Si? Yeah, Ksi. He's not looking at Seth either, because he's got some cat's bone and they're doing their their YouTube thing right, and they're doing it live. So you got the Blue Crayon doing this thing, and you got Logan spitting up in the air like ture Blade spitting the water out. He goes in the air, he's doing the phone and Seth just does the old fully push. Amazing, yeah, amazing. By the way, it's a energy drink. That it's not the Blue cry the Blue Crayon, Well it wasn't. It wasn't a creole. It was a prime drink. I'm sorry, it's prime Logan, Logan. We need you to sponsor to build them on experience. We need you to sponsor Prime, and we will have Prime on every show we do here going forward. No more blue crayons. That's trying to find the crap. Surprisingly, yeah, popular, So back in the ring, going okay, let's look here. Back in the ring, Rawlins had a pedigree, Logan kicked out. Logan recovered, he hit a GTS actually by a frog splash, but Rawlins kicked out. Logan went for a coast to coast, but Rawlins caught him with a superkick. I thought this looked great. He hit him with the curved stomp, scored the pen fall, victory, the time and everything, but that was good. That like Logan Paul's millionaire ten times over. Yeah, he does not have to do what he did. He could go out there and be I don't know what the word is, frugal. He could go out there and be very timid about certain things. He could know you were, yes, you were making difficult. The fact that that man went to the top rope and listen, you couldn't put that boot any better. And so the timing is unbelievable. So he surrenders to the wrestling gods and jumps from that top rope again. I go back to I defy everyday people to climb up from the ground to the top rope twelve feet and then jump another four or five feet in the air. Oh and by the way, you're gonna get kicked in the face with the most unbelievable timing in the world and just tremendous. Four matches in he is he's good. Uh, he gets it. He's athletic. Yeah, he's a fan, you can tell. And I don't think you could have a better celebrity. I was impressed with the arrow guy, but man, yeah, and he's yeah, he's he surpassed Bad Bunny as well. Yeah, absolutely cut as to him. I thought that was a good It was. It was everything I thought it would be, which was good. Moving on here, Becky, lanch Lida and Trish versus your favorite damage control, which is what Bailey Sky in Dakota kai. Yeah. Man, that rhymes, isn't it? Uh? I think that's something so obviously, Well, they were facing Becky, Leda and Trish, which is what I thought was gonna be what was like a good WrestleMania moment that we talked about this is vintage WrestleMania. It's not gonna hurt anything bringing out these legends. They had a black and white comic book entrance. Did you see that it was a trip in you out? Bill? Yeah? I wasn't sure if it was the if it was the the feed for a minute, or if it was you know, meant to be. So it was meant to be, Bill, it was. Yeah, you didn't know what your stand digit? Yeah, I didn't know. I didn't. I'm gonna be out. I didn't. Before the match, there was a brief stare down and then everyone started brawling. Becky's team cleared the ring. After the bell rang, damage Control was able to take control and to work over Becky. Bailey prevented Trish from being able to make the tag. Becky was eventually able to tag out Lita. Damage Control used the numbers game to regrain the uper hand You just loved Damage Control. Trish got the hot tag and started building up momentum for her team. Damage Control once again tried to play the numbers game, but this time Lita and Becky even the it's Bailey hit the rose is called the rose plant. Yes on Becky, but leda broke up okay, yeah, okay. She hit the rose plant on Becky but leda broke up the pen attempt. Everyone ended up on the outside of the ring and Miss Sky will say hit a moon salt onto everyone, which just looked pretty good. Everyone got back into the ring before the tin count, which got holy shit, that was a long tin count. Everyone started to brawl again. Lida hit the moon salt and Becky hit the avalanche manhandle slam and Penn Bailey nothing absolutely amazing. I thought it was cool Sean Trisha in that same WrestleMania outfit that she obviously warned. Yeah, everybody looked pretty good and it was a good moment to get them in a match, And I think that is the you know, it goes back to the the ever growing topic of creative where do we put that match to enhanced all six talent and at the same time the momentum of the show. But I think it served I don't think I know it's served its purpose. You had two two legends and two future legends, and Bailey and Becky and they they they played the hits, they did their thing, The crowd was really happy, everybody was safe. I don't and so for the record. I don't dislike the other girls. I just don't understand the concept yet. But they've they've been They've literally been in the ring with every legend and all of famer and things that could get them over, and I think by themselves, not so much with Bailey. That's what's that's what's helped them. But I'm really looking forward to seeing Bailey go back to her doing her own thing. I thought the girls did very well. I enjoyed the hits, you know. I enjoyed watching Lee to do her thing, the spot with Trish doing on the outside, the stratisfaction and all. So it was it was cool and they did a great job. You know. Yeah, no, I agree, Uh yeah, obviously it's not crapping on damage control, but it's just crapping on the con. I don't think it's it's ben wat since SummerSlam M. Yeah, I'm kind of ready for it to end and Bailey to do her own thing. But I also hear these rumblings that Bailey may leave or Bailey's unhappy. I actually certainly hope that's not the case. Oh, I hope. She's a great talent and the other two are great workers. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying yeah, And I think as singles competitors, they'd probably go farther. But you know, and look at the timing when they put them together and when they were called up, So I think I know they've done the best with everything they've been given. I just don't think, you know, even you've seen some of the best workers and wrestlers in the world, it doesn't resonate, right, So I think that's where where we're at when we talk about them. So it's not a it's not a it's not a bashing of the talent or who they are, what they do, the character, or that that grouping. It just doesn't resonate with me. But I thought that match, like the progression of the night, it continues and it was really really good, and it sets you up for the next match. And this is something that I'm by no means an a w fanboy, but this is something that I often feel as if AW missus what we're talking about, the flow, we're talking about, the build up, we're talking about the different emotions and levels of excitement and everything, just the way the whole event's planned out. You're right, I think it was. Yeah, it did its job. Go to your point of a w I think a lot of conversations always are there. Shows are always the same thing, ten pounds of stuff in a five pound back, everybody's doing the same thing, and this and that. But if you watch Mania, sure there was two hundred super kicks, there was two hundred clothes on it, there was two But it's the night itself, it's the whole picture. It's the whole story of WrestleMania, not just another Monday or Wednesday night or a Friday night where you're getting it. This these are this is when all the it's come out, and this is when you enjoy and you don't look at it the way you do the regular the regular things, right, because you see everybody's super kick, everybody doing swan times the size and all these things, and no everybody getting up through the next spot. This to me is the only night where you don't look at it that way. So you don't mind, you're not seeing there going I just saw the same match they throw fourth super kicks. You're not doing that, You're you're watching it and appreciating what's going on because you don't get that every night with WW. So when you see it and it comes together like that, you go, wow, next match here, we are going to do a deep dive into Ray mysteria one day, kind of like we did Goldberg. Yeah, earlier on in the show. But man, I thought the Hall of Fame speech was great. I thought Conan had a great introduction. He's obviously done a lot for the Mexican wrestlers, and I think Ray Mysterios revolutionized and it was just a great speech. And when he really sit back and think about how great he has been for wrestling, it's incredible. And you know a lot of people are like, why are they running the story during his whole when they anounced him for the Hall of Fame, Dominic was involved. You know, even at the Hall of Fame, they literally Dominic rha and and Dami got up and left and people were booing, like all the attention was there. That You've got to say to Ray, that's how professional he is. He don't stop a story to give him his flowers. He goes, no, my flowers are the story, and this is what we've worked for. So I totally hang on every word you said. Hats off to Conan and Ray and that that Hall of fame thing leading into this because it was it was worth it. Man it again, they're doing their job. It's it's awesome storytelling at its finest. How much longer you think Grand Mysteria has got, man, I don't see him going, Like if I don't see he maybe got five or six more years now, he's got to hang it up. I mean, he's old, he's worshed up, nobody, nobody likes him anymore. He's where he's worn out as welcome. It's a different generation he's introduced to Ray Mysterio. You could almost say, like, well, maybe people in there didn't know what John Cena did in the ring. Maybe he thought he was just in movies and these commercials and the voiceovers and things, So maybe they didn't really appreciate John Cena. There's people there that were there who never saw Leader or Trish wrestle or work before. Maybe they group with them going into mania, you know what I mean. But every Raymisterio transcends generations, and so I hope, I hope he has as many years left as he wants, and then I hope he hangs up what he wants to, because when he does, what a what a legacy. What a legacy man, So obviously it's him verse Dominic, which we've been built up to that actual storyline here and entertaining storyline too. May I say, yeah, Bad Bunny's at ringside, you're man Bad Bunny. I'm not gonna. I've never heard much of his music, but I know he's absolute global phenomena. I just don't. I didn't know that till he till he did this thing last year or whatever he did last last time. Previously this, I didn't know he was a recording artist or anything. But he's probably east like the new Match, Yeah, Davy. He's also smart about what they're doing, right, they're going to Puerto Rico next month or the backlash, They're gonna make some money. He's gonna help him, and this all leads up to that. Just so intelligent the way Damby does everything. But what did you think about Dominic's entrance with the in the corrections van, you know, coming out with the handcuffs on, and I think so I went down the avenue of why we being his ring gear fees in the correct and then I realized, like, wait a minute, why am I overlooking the fact that this is you know what I mean. I looked at it for a minute and I tried to make sense of it and go, why why the hell is he in his wrest And then the way waited a minute was the only thing I would have changed if I was going to critique it, I wouldn't have had him take that mask off till he got into the ring, because that is a great visual for you when I watching it on the boob tube. But a lot of people that were there, and I know they could see it because by the way that that that arena is amazing, that stadium, and I know they could watch it there. But I thought, what an awesome visual is if he did it right in the middle of the ring. That was my only thing, like, oh, maybe he would have waited for that. The fact that Dominic has the tear, you know, representing that he's killed a man, he's taking somebody's life, and like and knowing him since he's a baby, literally holding him when he was a baby. That's all my wife was saying, like, that cannot be the same boy we've watched grow up and to see him do that stuff was just I think he's doing a magnificent job because he's putting a very listen. He's not brought in like um another youngster or you know someone that's learning it. You started with your dad, who's a legend, and you have to live up to that. And I'm pretty sure that Ray told him, you gotta stay with me, dude, because you know I can't dumb it down. You have to come up. And I think that was just like. I could go on about that forever because I think it was great. And my favorite thing of the whole match was the belt. He could have all ended at the belt when he took his belt off and gave him that school whooping up tremendous. But the whole story, the whole storyline was great. I thought the match was good. I'll break it down for those listening just in case I didn't wash or they want our comments throughout it. Here. So his entrance, there's a video package of him being released from prison right the one terrible day in prison that he spent. I love the entrance. Ray Maistereo arrived in the Low Rider with Snoop Dogg with nothing but a g thing, Bill Billy No, nothing but a g thing. Eddie's great team musical so obviously huge. Then Ray's theme as well. I thought that was sneat. Always good to pay homage because very close to Eddie Guerrero obviously, Okay, Dominic shoved his dad and the match started. Dominic got the best of the first lock up and posed. Dominic shoved Ray, and Ray shoved him back. Ray took his belt and have Dominic gave Donic a speaking Dominic went to the outside and threw water on his sister. Ray went after Dominic, but Dominic was able to get the upper hand. Dominic worked over Ray and continued to taunt his mother and sister at ringside. This is where I think Dominic's really shown a lot of improvement with the character aspect. Bill. He's there's never going to be another Ray mysterio, but he can definitely be a Dominique mysterio. And this is what his strength is right now. He's playing into it. Yeah, agreed, I'm with you. The story. The story is being told right, you know, like it was good? If you turn the volume off, would you understand the story the same way if you weren't listening to what the commin theaters say? And yes, the answer was yes, it was great. Dominic went to the ring post and Ray actually took a moment to go give Angie's wife a kiss and he sent Dominic back into the ring. Damian Priest and Finn Balor arrived. Ray hit the six one nine, but Judgment Day interfered and Dominic regained control. The Latino World Order came out. Obviously ended up getting into a brawl with the Judgment Day. During this, Damian Priest managed to put his ring jacket on the side of the ring with a what appeared to be like a huge toe truck juge, not sing but just used a normal couldn't use a normal chain. And how was he carrying that thing in his blazer? I don't know, but okay, So Dominick hit Ray at the six one nine and hit a frog'swash, but Ray managed to kick out. Dominic exposed this steel term buckle as the referee was trying to put the term buckle back on. That's when he picked up the steel chained from priest. I think it was a jackie, right, yeah, it was. It was his blazer. Yeah, it was priest blazer. Yeah. Yeah. So obviously rests distracted. He's gonna pick up and try to use it. But our boy bad Bundy, it took it away and Race scored the pinfall victory. And obviously this is a setup. The storyline will continue and it will plan the next month when Bad Bunny is hosting and maybe physically involved in a match. Yeah, And I thought that was the right time, right, because I've heard a lot of people say, well, why all these interference It should have been this kind of you. And it goes back to we talked about Dominic's young in the business. You're only going to do so much to further the story without including the other players. And I thought the timing was perfect for everybody to get involved all these distractions boom boom boom for Bad Bunny. That because you're the story goes past Saturday Night to your point, right, everything advances from there and it's well, it was well done. Everything was everybody was on man, everybody really knew their stuff, and it all made it. It continued to make sense and build the night. Yeah, not every and we'll go through this as we've continued here. Not everything has to end right now at WrestleMania, right, which happens a lot, but that's not does not have to happen, not the case, right, Yeah, definitely. It was a good match. It's not bad at all. I thought it did its job. So the next match here is my favorite one of the two nights, probably Bill Charlotte Flair Verse rear Ripley for the SmackDown Women's title. Man, let's just go through the highlights here and then we will talk about both of these people. Let's get all the way through the match here, okay, and we will just talk about how great this was. So Michael Cole noted to kick it off. He noted that this was the first WrestleMania match to have two female competitors, a female referee and a female ring announcer. I thought that was neat that they mentioned that. I mean, that's good. He's setting up the whole significance of the match. Michael Cole's doing what Michael Cole does. They had a lengthy stare down before they locked up. It went on for actually quite a while. Ria got the upper hand and gave Charlotte a crotch chop. I don't know if you saw that. Ye. Charlotte quickly recovered and clotheslined Riha out of the ring. Riha took control of the match but couldn't put Charlotte away after hitting a released German suplex. Those looked brutal by the way Charlotte started to make a comeback and chopped up multiple times or chap chopping the shit out of each other there for a while. We'll get into the next night there, but with the chops coming to play. But Charlotte countered a rip tied attempt with a DDT, but Rea kicked out. Charlotte and Reha took each other down with big boots at the same time. Ria gave Charlotte and Avalanche German suplex, Charlotte kicked out. The two ended up on the outside of the ring. So man, So one thing I want to bring up here, Bill, did you see those suplexes and Charlotte landing on her face, particularly once lands on her face and you see the ring the matt Byrne down her news? Did I see that? Did I see it? Like I always referenced back, my dad was a boxing fan, and he'd say, at the end of the sofa and he'd be throwing combinations with the guys who were his favorite. I'm at the edge of the sofa again and going with the Germans like I'm like I'm being German or I'm the one throwing somebody. And when Charlotte that that second one where she land on her face, and again, let's go back to the production where they kept going over that in slow motion, so every normal human being on the planet could appreciate what that was. Half of everybody else who's ever been in his business. Would have ended the match right there, would have not gotten up, would have ended the match right there. Could have went a lot worse too. I'm glad. Yeah. And by the way, let's I just want to backtrack to another amazing moment, the way Ria took that DDT. Oh, yeah, she was like a lawn dark dude. She was a human law. Gosh, I didn't this. Yeah, people go, oh, you can't get out of a DDT have that argument with you any day of the week, on a regular Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday night, whatever it is. She took that d DT. She was a human law. Everything those women did, I don't want, I don't want to finish, finish going over the map, everything they did to me that that could have ended the bank right there. Back, I'm excited, like I can't wait to keep talking about this match. Yeah, No, it was amazing. It was amazing. So we talked about them going on the outside. Charlotte was sent in to the steel steps. Back in the rings, Charlotte was able to avoid rip tide again but was dropped face first. We talked about that. Yeah, this is where we left off. Charlotte hit her moon, saw it on the outside. Oh my gosh, it's always amazing. Crazy athletic always hits that perfectly. Back end the ring, Ria was finally able to hit the rip tide, but Charlotte kicked out. Ria applied the clover leaf submission, but Charlotte got out and hit a spear. Ria kicked out. They traded blows and Charlotte applied the figure four, but Ria grabbed the bottom rope both around the top and Ria was able to hit the av lanch rip tide to the win. As reacelebrated, Charlotte applauded on the floor on the outside. Oh man, So I could talk about everything that happened all day, but I wouldn't do it justice. I would have suggest everybody go and watch this because there's no way we could cover every single amazing point. But Bill, this was this was a I mean, I hope Uncle David gives this five stars, man, because I don't know what would be not be? How could this not be five stars? I guess is when I'm asking, you know, we talk about seen in here. He started it off and it was a great you know, and then the men, then the tag and we got the Hall of Famers and the women back and everybody who's worked. We talk about Seth and Logan and all the things that have happened. I am. I ask everyone who's listening, and everybody's gonna watch this, go watch that match. Turn the volume down and just watch their faces. Watched their body language on every false finish of every kickout. Ria's space is telling the story. Charlotte's face is telling the story. Their body languages tell the story. And to see Charlotte at the end of it all realize like I've been beat good for you, like you earned that. And I'll continue to say this once you watch this match, go back to three years ago when they first did it, and look at the progression of both women. Amazing to first match in the Thunderdome was good. Yeah. To me, that was the match of the night. Not taking away from anybody else, that match was the match of the night it was. And man, I'll tell you what I've been First of all, you can't really mention enough how great Charlotte Flayer is. But I have been pretty critical of how Rihah Ripley was booked prior to the last six months they did, and I thought a lot of people were very impatient, saying, hey, why isn't she the champion? A lot of armchair quarterbacking, But the build up was so damn good, Bill, and this is the payoff. She's that good. We watched her. I've been fortunate enough to watch Charlotte from day one back to your FFCW with us in Tampa when she So I've watched Charlotte's career from day one and amazing. And then you watch Rhea who to your point, everybody prior to this last six months or so and that, and you know all the things that she's been doing. People were question well, the NXT, she should have came out hot like she was there, and no, there's a there's a learning curve, there's a progression to it, and she had to take over everything she's done and start to own it, not earn it. She had to start owning it and to watch her mature and take over that whole group where she was, where she was a fixture, became the leader, the spokesman, the head right and then beat Charlotte at the stair down. It all came full circle and just the progression of both women. But I'm a huge If you're not as Charlotte fan, apparently you you don't. I don't know you're a pickleball fan. I don't know what else you do. But if you're not, you're a Ripley fan and a believer in what she can do. And to see her confidence. Their faces told a million stories that night to me, and it was it was amazing. We've had a lot of different rivals that have multiple face offs at WrestleMania, The Rock, The Rock in Austin and several different ones. Undertaker's gone at several different competitors more than once. To me, Bill, when when we look back at history, we will look at these series of matches and I think they've got one more at least amazing one of them. At may be, I think we'll look back at these series of matches and we'll they'll forever be known as some of the best matches. Yeah, And to be honest with you, Jim Cornette. I listened to a lot of Jim Cornette, and he made a great point that I hadn't even thought of really. I mean he says that all the time, but I hadn't really thought about it until this. You couldn't tell any difference from a men's match at all. No, I mean, it's literally just an amazing match. Yeah. Yeah, you didn't sit there though, Oh that was you know, that was a diva's match. Oh that was a woman's match. Oh, these girls worked hard. That was a wrestle Ma main event match of two amazing athletes, entertainers, whatever they choose to be called. They sold the world. And you're right, it wasn't a woman's match. That was an amazing WrestleMania match. That was to me, that was so main event caliber. You could take that and I would wait another year to see it again. That's how good it was, because you know, whatever they do from now until next year, a month before, these two could meet in a hallway and you get that stare down and you have that Oh here we go, we're gonna get it again. So just like that was the talk of my house. Was that's it? It was amazing. I could wait two years Bill. Yeah, it's a yeah, it's it's and it goes back to that thing of follow that. Yeah. Look, we could talk about this all night. We'll move on. But and absolutely and I so it's so cap off night one for me. That match. Yeah, I mean, you know, we have another one, but that really solidified, like you know, because it as an old as you know what I don't. I'd like to think I'm not an old grizzle veteran, but just as an old guy who's been you know, removed from the physicality for so many years, to suck me into that and make me live that and enjoy that and watch it and and feel everything they were doing storytelling one on one and their athleticism and all the things that followed just hands down unbelievable. And that's nothing to do with women. Has to do two amazing athletes and performers that literally gave it everything he had and took everybody on a ride. Everything they do, everything they did, they did for a reason. Yeah, and it made sense. Yeah, slow down here with this next segment slows things down a little bit, which you have to after what we just talked about yep, so really the setup is the Miss and Snoop Dogg come back out. They were in the ring and Miss claimed that he had put out an open challenge for WrestleMania three D, but nobody accepted it. Nobody heard it either, evidently so Pat McAfee then a surprise entrance to the ring. He said he never saw any open challenge, but there had to be a matched against the Miss. Miss said that he would do the match, but he can't make But he can't make matches official. Snoop Dogg said he can make the match happen, and the referee came into the ring. Miss tried to come off the top rope, but got hit with a super kick by macfe and slid out of the ring. Miss had words with the San Francisco forty nine player George Kittle and shoved him. Kittled, dumped the barricade and hit Miss with a clothesline while McAfee distracted the referee. McAfee then jumped off the top rope and wiped out the Miss with a swanton. Back in the ring, McAfee hunted Miss and scored the pinfall victory. I'm a big McAfee fan, Bill I'm from Indiana obviously, right, he was the Colts punter and he was a badass at that. But then he just walked away and said, the hell with it. He's going to do his own thing, and man, he's built an empire. He's so people love Pat McAfee. They love his show, they love what he does. They loved him in WWE. They love him as a commentator because he's to me, he's genuine. He's another guy. He's like to me, he's like Logan Paul. He's real. He says what's on his mind. But it comes back to he's a fan and he expects the business and people who see that respect that person. So Pat McAfee could come out in the middle of a to know, the boys choir singing and the people are gonna pop. He's just over with the people. He's just that kind of personality. And then naturally, you get those moments where you're in you're in California, you're in football country. Who better than Kittle, who's an amazing personality on and off the football field. But let's let's go to the underlying hero here. The miss I tweeted it, he's a trooper, He's not only is he a trooper, he's to me he's a first ballot Hall of Famer when the time is right. His story is amazing, and there's nothing he won't do for the greater good. He puts himself on the line, he thinks on the fly, as we'll talk about later on, and all these things, But the underlying thing is, yes, McAfee's over, George Kittle gets over again, TMZ, ESPN, every CNN, every network, every radio, stay, all these things. But the underlying thing for me is there he is again, my boy mizanin doing what only he can do and making everybody shine brighter than they already do. But so it it. Listen, and to your point, they needed a break between what those women did and where we're going next. And who better, who better to fit that spot than the Miss? Yeah, yeah, the miss is definitely and I'm a huge MacAfee. The Miss is gonna go down. Is the very underappreciated for everything he's done. Yeah, and McAfee. You can tell that McAfee is definitely appreciated by Triple H and Vince McMahon. I mean, they give him a lot of spots to give him a lot of moments, and they definitely are fans of Pat McAfee. There's no doubt about. You can tell that because I honestly believe, and again I haven't been there since Pat's been there, but I can see it and I believe, and I always go by if you can make me believe it, then I'm in. But I believe that Pats us student of the game. He didn't just get an opportunity to join this and do his homework like he's followed it. He's a he's a fan of the the the sport, the entertainment part of it, all these things he's watched for years. So he's a student of the game, and I think that's what gives him the respect and the credit he does get when heats when he's with the WWE. So hats off to him all the time, and he's a great ambassador for what for what they do. All Right, we'll go on to the main event here the usas for Semi saying and Kevin Owens for the Unified tag tune titles. So a rapper performed just before the USA has made their interest to the ring. I'm not gonna lie. I don't know who it was. Yeah, maybe we're ignorant a little bit, but it's it's it's it's never gonna hurt when you get celebrities of Valter Wreslanias. So I thought, huh, I'm not surprise at all. Not bad, Okay, Owens and Zane had a normal entrance, and Michael Cole brought up how they were blue collar superstars. Corey Graves also mentioned how Owens and Zane made a name for themselves and fro gorilla wrest language is there by there of course, and they go away back bill these two, Yeah, I mean it really do. And they've talked about you know, they're both Canadians, but that's where they cut their teeth. It was a lot in California. And and those two have been together for twenty years, you know, they they they've grown up in the business. You've literally known each other inside. Now they've watched their families grow and all those things that that people think is a storyliner. Wow, how they get them to look so young because those are real clips and and and shots of them, so you know they and that's why this story's been so great because it's all real. You don't have to write it's nothing creative about it. Let these men tell the stories. So they come out blue collar guys. They just want to wrestle and if you want to fight, Owens will fight you. And if Sammy Zane, it couldn't be any hotter than he is right now. So it was just great to see them come out in to your point, a normal issue entrance, but people love them. They're real to people. Yeah, they're real to people because there's guys sitting on their sofas or in that arena going it's just like me. Absolutely, And the match, the women's match was amazing, but the story of that it's been progressed and laid out for this has been phenomenal and something that's been missing and wrestling for a while. Yes, so it's it's authentic. Rights are obviously twins fairy authentic. There's nothing fake about that. And then just the relationship that all of these characters I've built with each other in and outside the ring. You could tell for sure it was it was it was great. It's yep, it's that too. We talked about it earlier when we first started this conversation, how exhausting the whole weekend is by the time you get to this match like even miss didn't really give you a chance to breathe with McAfee, And because you're right, it kept going and then here they come. This is the best storyline in wrestling in the past. I don't know how many of you since the nWo, since whatever. I don't know. However, you know, it's been a long time and these guys came out and if you ever thought that four men could be ready for something, they've been doing it every night. They do in their sleep. They live it. They live the bloodlined story, they live the you know, the Brothers story. They it's just that's who they are, that's what they do. And they again I hate to use the scene freeze over. They took us on the ride that we thought they were gonna take. We were hoping they were gonna do this, and they did it. Absolutely. I will break down some highlights here and you can cut me off whenever where you go ahead, Bill, No, I was gonna say, as you're breaking it down, there's there's nothing I can really say. They go. It was just like I go back to that, I'm on the edge of my thing, going what the hell are they thinking? And they slowed it that the timing like I want everyone all young, all young aspiring pro wrestlers, all young aspiring sports entertainers and some that are making a living now, pay attention and flow of how it stops stop, come back to it again. And they they didn't start over once. They continued it with brakes and ebbs and flows and to me and they that's why I go back to if you get me to bite gosh dog. And by the way, they got that other gigantic heater sticking around with the with the thumb and we we're going to talk about him forever in the day. Uh solo. Yeah, but they just these four cats money. Like I said it, I'll get into it here. He cut me off whenever I don't line. Jay started the match with Sammy. USO's dominated the early part of the match as they worked over Zane. Zane tagged out to Owens that Owens hit a swanton off the top rope to the USO's on the outside. That was pretty crazy. Back in the ring, Owens hit a frog splash to jab. Jay kicked out the USO's regained the upper hand but couldn't put away Zane. And to your point, Bill, as these frustrations are starting to build, and they're showing all this with their body language, they're showing all this with their emotions, and it's just the beginning of the frustrations for the USOS, but as they're progressing throughout the match, they're doing it's just such a fantastic job of showing those frustrations and showing those emotions both sides. That's the art, that's the right. You hear it all the time if you're a fan, you've heard someone say it, from Al Snow to Delo Brown to build them up, to Billy Gun the road Dog, to Triple H to Shawn Michaels, they whatever you want to talk about, the suspension of this right of what, the how, the oh oh, and the story. Watch it with the volume. It's the same story. Like sometimes you watch a match with the volume, you go out of get it, not this, not this. These four men are. Sammy looks like a guy walking down the street shopping at garage sales on a Saturday morning. Sammy's the everyday man. Yeah, Sammy's the everyday man. He could be your neighbor. Kevin's just a butt kicker. Serious is all get out here? I am straight to the russo's watch them grow up. And these four guys have just took everyone. Listen. You would think after all this time in the bloodline and everything they've done, they had nothing to tell. There's nothing they could do or show you or how are they going to better this story. That's why they were in the spot they were in, because they still haven't scratched the surface of what they're gonna do. In my so, it's just, it's just it was this. It was the ride, man, it was the roller coaster of zoom zoom zoom hit the oh here we come again, there's more and I got more in the tank and now you got people. You saw this all night, the people when they kept panning to the people's faces. It's not like the point the cameraman queen going hey, I need you to make googly eyes or I need you to cry. These people were so invested. And why I see these people I'm talking about eighty thou from the four seats to up in the up in the the Jimmy seat, amazing, pepping the nosebleeders. Yeah, they were high up there. Yeah. So this next spot here, I thought the timing was great and I thought it was a pretty a pretty neat but brutal thing that I would never want to take. Zane gave Jay a brainbuster on the apron while Owen's hit a swanton to Jimmy, but Jimmy kicked out. Zane with Jimmy with the Noosa splash, but Jimmy kicked out again. So the timing is their due. And these things are great too, Bill, Uh, get you on the edge of your seat. H oooh, I mean up and down and that Uh, that brainvest on the apron is not something I'd want to take. Bill. Hey, that's if you're watching it for any of the reason then appreciating what you're seeing, you're watching this for the wrong reason. Like you have to go, what what the hell am I watching? And it was like, what the hell am I watching? What the hell am I watch? What the hell do I just see? What am I seeing? Now? Like that that's your point? Ban ban boom, boom boom. There's this thing called timing. They never overwhelmed either, Billy. The timing so good. You're not, like, aw, you could you could just get overwhelmed with all these spots going on everywhere. But these guys the timing is great and it's not overwhelming either of these big things that are happening. You got to digest everything that happened. They didn't allow you to miss one thing. If you blinked, you didn't miss it. Like they did not allow you. They commanded, They commanded their audience. They controlled everything that we saw by that timing. Boom boom, and you went, holy goat, holy cap who. Yeah, I'm starting to break a sweat. I'm animated. They get I'm so excited. Yeah, it's true, and we'll dine into it more. But the pay seems amazing. The USA has regained control and hit multiple super kicks to Owens and Zane. They hit double superkick to Zane, but he kicked out. They hit another double super excuse me, double super kicked the Zane kicked out once again. Owens prevented a one D and got back into the fight. On the outside. The USAS ended up teaming up and slamming Owens to the announced tables. Here we go again. It's just they're not overwhelming you with stuff. But a lot's going on and the it's like, it's crazy how much is going on, but how slow they're moving. Yeah, that makes sense. Yes, it makes perfect sense because you're watching all this now on the outside with Ko. You're not even thinking about Sammy. You're invested here and then here. Now they turned back, the attention comes back to where it needs to be. No, I was gonna ask you, Bill, I am I the only one that likes that USO super kicks more than the young Bucks or I'm like, I see, this is where you get in trouble. Yeah, this is where you get in trouble. Yeah, they're gonna come after me now, yeah, yeah, yeah don't you can't. I can't answer that with the yes. But yes, they're gonna be marching. M me a pitching excepter. That okay. So back in the ring, the USO's hit the one D but Zane managed to kick out. At the last moment of really close, Jay started trash talking and slapped Zane around. Jay then hit Zane with his own hula kick. Jay continued trash talking, and Zane managed to deliver an Exploders Superlex into the corner. Owen's recover and got into the got the hot tag man that Exploder Superlex in the corner. That's that's a heck of a spot too. I'd be scared to take that. And it's it goes back to that that trust factor, because I don't care how many times they've done it or he's done it to someone. Everybody's different and every night is different. And there's that, there's that trust, and there's that thing of no hesitation. And that's the biggest thing, in my opinion, where people get hurt or things don't look right as a hesitation or a non no confidence in what's happening. That wasn't the case here. And and when Sammy hits that, you know it's here, it comes like this is this is the only shot he's got, right, So that's his thing and and but he's he delivers it every time. And there's something to be said that when when you when you convince another grown man to just trust me, man, because I'm gonna throw you. And so everybody knows this is gonna hurt, but we got a job to do. And gosh, dog, to your point, you may not want to take that. The hot tag was made. This is all setting up so Zane could finally get Owens in. Owens hits the Stutterer to JJ kicked out. All four got up and the crowd gave them a standing ovation. Ko makes an amazing comeback here, right he gets the hot tag like I just said, and this next kind of downward moment here results in a standing ovation from the crowd if they take it all. In a little bit of downtime there, a hockey fight broke out with Owens multiple super kicks to the USO's here Husas counted with their own super kicks to Owen and Zane. He was knocked off the apron Usus hit a double splashes off the top onto Owens, but he kicked out. Zane was able to save Owens from the avalanche one d that would have followed. Zane tagged back in and hit the hula kick to Jay. Zane hit a second hula kick, and Owens hit the stunner to Jimmy as he tried to come in and intervene, saying hit a third hula kick to win the tag titles. Let's just say this though, the oh Man, and these are the little things that these guys are so damn good at. He hits Jay with the hula kick, and you could tell that he's a little bit conflicted, but yet it felt great for him. To do. He hits him with the second one. He's even more emotional. He Jay collapsed into his arms and you know, he talks to him, says something to him. Then he throws him right back there and he charges even harder ability he nails him with the third. These are the things that these guys are just so amazing at. They didn't need to do a Canadian destroyer to through four tables on the outside at this point in moment, at this point in time, to have like a big moment towards the end of the match. This is just so significant. I mean, I know they went through an announced table, yeah, but these are the things to me that are everything there. It goes back to what we were saying about the amazing women their faces and your body language, and they weren't forced feeding us anything. You said it, Sammy, the way he was conflicted, but he did it. And the second one, he's telling the story. You see it and you're going, ah, but he did it. And then to your point when he's holding him and he literally talking to him like who knows what he said, but it's almost like you made it come to this. We had an opportunity. We were brothers, I trusted you, you said you loved me, all these things right, the story up on the Bill if people the people aren't familiar with the story, to touch up on that, that the hurdle was for when Sammy was trying to get in with the Bloodline was Jay. Jay did not believe in him. Jay and him fought hard. Jay was completely against him, and then when Jay bought in, he bought in full and that was Zanes. The only regret really with leaving the Bloodline was the bond that he had formed with Jay. So as he's doing this, and sorry to cut you off, those listening may not know if you've been living in a cave and missed the storyline, that these are the two guys where Bill, we didn't know what was going to happen. Are they gonna go together right there? I mean, you know, like, is Jay gonna get kicked out of the blodline? Is sam Wey gonna get kick out? Are they gonna do their own thing? We didn't know. And you see all that compassion and emotions come out on those kicks, and like we just said, he's holding them, then he throws it back in the corner for one more. These are all significant because the storytelling that's happened with these guys for nine months at least with Zane included. Yeah, the bloodline years, yes, but was Zane included at least nine months? And so it goes back to we can go backtrack and go, oh, nobody was happy with the way they were treating Sammy. He's a great talent and all these things, and where's Kao been in all these things? You know? And even for a long time there the ushows weren't getting their props because everybody knew they were so good, but it wasn't their time. And the hardest thing for a former, hardest thing for an athlete, hardest thing for a professional wrestler to understand is it's not my time. I know what I can do, let me show you and if you just be here's here was all my heat would everybody have ever been involved with, trained and worked with. They just didn't want to accept just trust it, and if they would have done it their way, it wouldn't have come out the same. They had to get fully invested in that story they were telling, and Sammy brought that with him. If they were just bypassed all that story, it just would have been. Hey, that was a hell of a wrestling match. At the end of it, when loser draw USO Sammy Ko. When loser draw, that story continues, and that story is just as hot as it was before Mania. And it's to your point, it's the face, it's the it's the confliction of do I hit another hell of a kid or whatever? You know? Do I do these things? If you're making me do this, it's beautiful, man, It's beautiful storytelling built four hall of famers. Man, these guys are all going to be Hall of famers. And at the end of the day is said at all Owen's and Zane were so emotional after the match. That was all real, man. What a great moment to have with your best friend. The twenty years that you've grown up in the business together. This was all real. And yeah, it takes you back to Eddie and Ray when those times when they when they captured the heavyweight championships. At different times, you saw Kevin and Sammy going, this is what we worked so hard for, bro, this is this is it Like we waited for this twenty years to be in the three. And let's not forget that they kept they kept saying this is their first tag team to have all the things they've accomplished in WWE. This is the first time as tag team champions, whether it's the last time or whether it's the only time. And they may never be looked at as a tag team because they're not. They're two brothers that have traveled the roads together for twenty years and came together and did this thing, both separately superstars, but their family, their brothers, they traveled it, they've lived it, they breathed it, they worked so hard for it, and it all came to and this is just to me, this is just the beginning now. And this is what I hope everybody took from me. Was like people sometimes like to your point, we said it offline in earlier sometimes things begin an end of menia, not this, not this. I'm going to finish up my thoughts on this match with the something on the USOS. I think rad to have a two parter. I don't know if you're available to record again and not on Thursday or not Bill to cover the next night. We'll talk about that, but for me, the USO's man, and I'll tell you I was at a house show with the USOS in some random asked town here in Indiana over a decade ago. These guys are just up on the rock, main roster, filming for main event matches. I'm talking main event the show, right, which is the undercard, which is the weekend show. Showed that I don't even know what it was on some crazy channel then, yeah, Like I don't even know what the hell the channel was. It wasn't a prime time cable at all. And I remember thinking, like, you know, who are these guys? And just to watch how they've grown into a Hall of Fame tag team is incredible. They've put in the work and like you said, and like you always say, believing in the process, believing in the experience, buying into it. And they have done that and they've put in the work over the years, and oh boy has it paid off. They're great. Yeah, And so think of compare the compare the four men. We know where Owens came from and where Sammy came from. The USOS didn't travel the world. The USOS don't have international experience pre WWE. The USOS came up in this system. The USO's everything they've done is been here. So you want to talk about um struggling. You want to talk about not believing in yourself. You want to talk about don't give me that trust the process crap. I've been doing this for years. You watch the evolution of these two cats, and it all comes down to when when you believe it, when it's real, when it means the most to you, is when you're gonna be the most successful. And to watch to your point, you've seen him a decade ago, and they're a mere fraction of who they are now. And again there's two guys when they're ready, they haven't scratched the surface as a team or as individual performers. So it yeah, truly amazing, man. And that's that's what I get the pleasure of watching, like knowing who they were and who they are and how they come up and all these things. And we talked about all these matches. By watching though, gosh, so envious of them and the opportunities they have and so proud to just see it all makes sense. And you know, sometimes you gotta wonder if they're all sitting there laughing at themselves when they're when they're finally by themselves and take a break and go, Okay, that was worth it that twenty years and fourth it, but it was it was really cool um and and two And the one thing we didn't talk about all night and not take away from anybody else. Michael Cole twenty two WrestleManias him and Corey Graves off the charts talk about keeping it all going and and following it and keeping up with it and having to, you know, justify everything that's going on. They they just like the miss you know, they made that, you know, Night one so spectacular, but that that tagat just what we thought we saw the main event with Rhea and Charlotte. These guys come out and do their thing and we get that shot at the end of Sammy and Chao and the Four Straps and just standing in the middle of the ring where they love to be and the people are going, that's so cool. Send them home happy. And I will say with the announcers, people crap on the day to be announcers a lot. They've got health, a lot, more work, bill everything, sponsored, everything in the matches, sponsor replay, blah blah blah. And these guys get it all in man, and they it's good. You have to stay. You can't go down you can't put down your phone while they're in there working and then go oh yeah, the the no, you're on it, you're on it. And Michael Cole is the put them up there with the best of the best, Gordon Soley, Jim Ross, Bob put him up there with all of them, Um, just the best of the best. And Corey Graves has just found his niche and then carving his path. So they did an amazing job. And they really they're the ones who helped escalate the night the way he did. So what a first night of She's I don't even know what to call it. Like I put up a pole on Twitter, I said, first night night. This was right after night. I ran it for twenty four I ran it till the beginning of the next night. I said, thumbs up, thumbs down, thumbs in the middle, overwhelming. I think I got about a three hundred and fifty to four hundred votes. Eighty nine percent were no, ninety one percent where thumbs up. The rest where people trolling on me, probably because I argued with the aw people. It was. It was hands down, at positive experience for everybody to almost where you're you're going, you're ending the night watching it, Ben, I'll speak for like from what we did, we shut it off again to night and I'm thinking, like I could have said anything to my wife like I love you and I you know, what a great day. I'm thinking, where did they go? Yeah, still knowing what they have in front of them, because that Night One that could have been that could have been it. To me, Night One could have been it that. That's a WrestleMania in itself. And that's hats up everybody, and tremendous storytelling, tremendous build and way to just keep just keep moving the storylines forward. And everybody was made that night. Everybody topped the bottom. I don't care who it was. Everybody was made that by Yeah. Great job. Last year at Night one was great too. This is another one. Send everybody. Oh I'm happy. That's well. It's a little bit different story for Night Too. On the for others, for other people, myself not as critical. But we'll get into Night Too with our next recording and and I'll end it with the poll and it's and just as it heads up everybody, it's not gonna be the same opinion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Circumstances right, things happen, and situations happened, so people right right away they turned to it like you, they left them high. So you're coming in tonight too. It's it's it's that wrestling thing to follow that, and I think that's what we're going to get into when we talk about it. Absolutely, Hey, As always, we appreciate everybody listening. Yes, as Bill and I cut each other off in excitement as we act like little boys, super excited about the that's how you know it was good though, right, Yeah, we both can't wait to talk because it's just such a great time. We appreciate you listening to us ramble on and as always, Bill, thank you for your time and expertise. And and it's funny Bill, because as I it will get into it on the next recording. But as I'm watching this, I think about how you are reacting, and I make some tweets out. We'll talk about the really the next night when I dropped a couple on you. But nevertheless, man, I'm glad that we can share these moments together, and I hope everybody's enjoying it because I really am. Thank you man.
