What's she gonna do? Brother? When Jeff Townsend media runs wild on you, Molly, all right, we'll kick it off here. Alright, alright, alright. You are experiencing the experience of a lifetime, a life changing experience. It is the Bill Dumont experience. I am Jeff Townsend of course with me is the man Bill Dumont. Man, Joe the plumber had your house all messed up last week, you couldn't record. We're finally back together. Man. How's the plumbing situation with your house getting flooded? You you can't tell by the background here of the Dumont mansion, But if I could paint a picture for you, I have in our master bathroom, we have a shower. They've ripped out the sinks, the vanity, cut holes in the walls, replacing pipes. Now they have to replace the bedroom floor. Previous the guy came to do the sink blew a pipe out and the other side of the house. So we've been out, been without that bathroom. Now we've had to take everything out of two bedrooms nowhere to put it so they can dry up the floors, do all that cool stuff that they do. And now we have to wait for them to come and put the floors back in. This has been going on, dude, since January. I remember the last time that got you talked about the guy to be in there. Ye, this all happened by the end of January. And here we are in May. And literally, if I took a picture, I may take a picture, but my wife wouldn't like it. My son is now, his bedroom is now the living room. We're literally congregating in the front room of the house. And it's just I'll tell you, man, it's just. You always hear those horror stories about contractors and everything, and I'm here to tell you it's the real deal. But you know, what are you gonna do. You've got to sit there with that big phony smile and go, oh, thank you for coming and they because if you don't, if you tell them what you think, it's gonna be another three months before you see him. But anyway, at least there's no running water all over the floors. We just need all new floors. So we're getting there. I'm open by next WrestleMania we should be back to normal and we shouldn't have to cut anymore. I mean, it's crazy that the poor dogs are secluded into like one area of the house. You know what I mean. It's just just such an inconvenience that it makes you laugh. Like it's like we're now in a funk. Like we walk in we really have one room to go to. I like how you use WrestleMania as a timeline. I give it. I'm gonna keep my cool until rustle baby, and otherwise I'm gonna lose my mind. You've got horses too, for dogs, so that's a rough area. I'll tell you. They've been great about it. Yeah, because he's a monster. He doesn't know what to do, like he has nowhere to run, he has nowhere to But anyway, it's all good. Let's talk about something more important, like today's your birthday, dude, Happy birthday. Thank you. I wasn't gonna bring it up, appreciate it. Bring it up because now I've I did the math, and now before today I was twenty one years older than you. Now I'm only twenty years older than Wow, you're old enough to be my father. Is that we're saying, oh this or let's see you could attack. I don't know what were you doing you're twenty years old, but I don't think we can talk about that, and probably because I can't remember what I was doing about, say, I don't remember. I have a enough time. I remember the last year. Yeah, but that's all I was going on to run here. I appreciate it, though, Man, yeah, it's another year. It's it's another day. You know. Birthday is don't really a big thing in my family growing up in my house, Like I had a lot of friends that were like, I was like a huge thing. It just wasn't at my house for whatever reason. I guess it could have been. I was raised by a single dad, right, Yeah, but it's just so people are always all about the birthday and I'm not really used to it. But oh man, it's it feels like another year of getting older. Man, I don't know how I'll say it. Yeah, but look, look, you know you look at it, but what you've accomplished and what you're doing now, and you know, we always we always have to sit back and remember, like the kids are healthy, you're healthy, life is good. The experience is kicking off, and so I just wanted to make sure that we give you your flowers a happy birthday. And I'm officially I might think I'm boycotting Star Wars. That's the other big news of today. Yeah, what Bill's referring to what I've been hearing for I don't know. I last fifteen years. I remember that May the fourth be with you because it is the fourth to day of May. By the way, when we're recording this, it just gets odd my nerves so much because I hear it all day. On my birthday, people were like, you have your birthday on May the fourth, May the fourth be with you? So and it's all over social media, and it's a little much. It's just and everybody in in the office, everywhere you go, whether you're in you know, Walmart or publics or just walking that, hey, may the fourth get they shut that. God, it's and I'm not that have a nice day guy to begin with. So everybody's like none that they hamma, hey across from the street, May fourth get? Okay? Anything to dress up try having on your birthday? No, because people find out it's your birthday, that's the first thing they say. Has anyone ever asked you why would you have your birthday on May fourth? Not really, they just love to say that, And I'm like, I ever heard that one before or with you. I mean you should just you should just start dressing up now on your birthday and just beat every way to the punch. Yeah. Should not a big Star Wars guy, But I'm not against anti Star Wars. I mean they're okay, but I've never been into like the Star Wars dressing up and uh no, and what do they call that? Is that? Uh? Like even this player? Is that cause play or whatever they Yeah? Yeah, comic cons and this con and Star Trek E's and all the I've never been like. The closest I've come ever in my life is I'm like a big Elvis fanatic. But I've never even you know, not even as a jolly thing, like try to ever dress like Elvis, although I think I'd look good in the gold lemin What about the honky talk man. He's a honky talk man. He's my guy. Dude, Cocky, I'm bad, dude, he was really so these kind of things that we're doing, like this isn't necessarily like we don't have like a wrestling shoot podcast, let's say, right, but shoots a pretty broad term, right, and it's generally speaking, we're just talking you and I shooting. Yeah, anyway, So Honkey talk Man was really one of the first people I remember back in the day got into doing that. You know, you had people like Sean Oliver, he hasn't a podcast with Kevin Nash. Yeah, he had that whole thing, and Honky talk Man was like ahead of the time on the it's not really podcasting, but he was kind of aheaded at the time on the wrestler out there spilling the beans I guess you could say, or his feelings about things. And dude, I've watched hours and hours of that. I mean hours and hours of Honky Talking Man. He's a funny guy. Man, he's I've enjoyed. I've had the opportunity to work with him in the ring and a few independent shots and then you know, we've done like those autograph sessions together and just sit there for a couple of hours and just let him just just give him a couple of words to get him going, and he just drops the knowledge on the in front of the next three hours and it's really it's entertaining. It's it's I love the stories. But yeah, he has a great take on the visit excuse me and life. So I enjoy him a lot. It's like back to the simple days of wrestling, when I think, yeah, the good and the bad guys, and I don't know, things weren't so blurred, I guess, as you could say. But also before we get into answering some listener questions and stuff, talking about some stuff going on, what's going on with the foundation this week, I've just made a comment before we hit the record button. You're posting some pictures from twenty seventeen and you had a lot less gray hair than Yeah, that's that's this. The gray has definitely come in over the past five or six years. He had the the pictures I posted earlier this week was I believe it was twenty seventeen when I was on the Senate floor and then addressing the House of Representatives. You know, we work on you know, not when we're not speaking in schools or at community events or working with law enforcement. We work on the law legislation. So we've been working on Kerry's Law for the past five and a half six years now, and so it's getting to that time where I have a lot of meetings coming up with representatives and senators here in Florida, and then ties into I guess the federal circle of meeting with some congressmen and things like that, because you know, it's like anything else, especially in legislature, you have to keep going. You're not going to get it done in one year. And as things come up and things are pushed to the back burner, we find ourselves always, you know, trying to get back to the front of the line. So I came across those pictures as I was working on some legislation. I'm meeting with the Representative Hammond i think at the end of May, so it just brought me to that time. But we've been super busy. Last week was Victims Rights Awareness National Victims Rights so all victims, families and survivors of any crime have been celebrated. So the Foundation was fortunate enough to speak at two different events here on either side of the state of Florida. And we've just been working a lot of law enforcement stuff. Has been coming up with teen drivers challenges, and we go and speak at those teen drivers challenges, which good young kids getting their license and kind of just a little bit of in your face information. But the Foundation has been going really good. We're getting ready for a big summer. We have a lot of things coming up, like community events and things like that, so we're always making sure we're in front of the community like we're year round. Certain certain organizations have like one or two things a year they do you don't see them anymore. We're we literally go twenty four seven, so we're always busy. But everything's going And I always feel weird saying everything's going good, you know, for what we do and who we work with and deal with. But everything is going positively. So that's that's that's the big part for us. And I got some cool wrestling in the next couple of weeks or so. We got to talk about have a few cool wrestling gigs coming up that we should talk about. But the foundation going strong man, we got a lot of We always say we have national recognition with a small you know, we're just a small you know, nonprofit, but we're getting this national recognition, so very fortunate for the conversations we're having during the week and things like that. So it's a it's all good man. Thank you guys always thank you for asking and following and spreading that message with us. Then it's a it's a big it's a big help and we appreciate the support, so we don't We don't talk about it a whole lot. So where can people go to learn more about that? That's the one thing we got to get better at. Yeah, So I think if you follow, if anybody, for anybody who follows me on social media, I'm always posting about the foundation social media. You can find the foundation on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. But the best place to find out about what we're doing all the time is the website, you know, www dot v Kerry and Dumont Foundation dot com. It gives you all our information. It tells people where they can volunteer. We have, you know, the high school kids who need community service hours throughout the year, we have you know, programs for them. We have internships through the University of Central Florida. But it also tells you where we're going to be, what we speak about, who we speak to, and why we're doing what we're doing. So the website is always the best place for the information. Well man, that's a good breakdown, and it's important too. It's important to bring that up where to find Sometimes we take a deep headed as a podcaster, I know, I do you just assume everybody knows. Yeah, you kind we kind of forget. Yeah, but Bill and I appreciate the foundation. I think it's important in today's society to be more proactive, right, because we're a reactive society. We react, and the more proactive we can be, the better. Easier said than done. Yeah, that's all the goal, without a doubt. Unfortunately, we all have things that we learn from, but that doesn't mean somebody else has to experience, right, And that's a great thing about your foundation, the foundation, And that's the thing we always say, and it's on our website. It's on our you know, we actually have a a I call it a swag page where people can come that you know, they often a lot of people when they donate, they like something in return. So we have a merchandise page we call Kerry's Corner, and so there's hats and shirts and sweatshirts and stickers and coffee cups and all those things. But one of the things that's on the things we do and what we say is we always say let's talk now so we don't have to talk later. You know. There's that thing of and I think we fool ourselves when we say, oh, we're we're raising awareness. You can't raise awareness about something people already know, right, So you have to give them. Yeah, you have to give them the news, right, you have to give them the straight up news. And here's what it is. Here's here's the reality of it. Because it's very easy to say, hey, we're going to raise awareness, Well, how are we going to do that. We're preventing any more, you know, loss of life or or terrible decisions and things like that. So I always say we're blessed, but it's always yeah, we always tell people, let's talk now so we don't have to talk later because those are terrible conversations. Yeah, and you know, there's a lot of terrible things medically happening in the world, with cancer and various other things. But in particular with your instance, just vehicles in general are still a very high rate of death, whether it be drunk driving or not. I mean, still the awareness around driving is it's the number one taker of life. Is a motor vehicle, whether it's the motorcycle, even a scooter, but cars in general, motor vehicles is the number one cause of loss of life, whether it's distracted, impaired, speeding, what have you. So it's it's interesting. Every every day there's something new to learn, something new to wrap your head around and then try to get it out there. You know, Well we're not going back to horse and buggies, so we have to do something. Yeah, hey, you know, and it's terrible because you say horse and buggies, But golf carts are now the biggest, one of the biggest things. Because people think that golf carts aren't a motor vehicle. Well they you know, terrible to talk about it. I know, you know, we'll get into our night in a minute. But this couple had just got married, was on the golf carts driving to the reception to take their pictures. They just got married, and here comes to the impaired driver speeding, takes out the golf cart node is, the bride is killed. Three other people are sent in the hospital. So what what should have been the most important day of her life took her life And it's from a repeat offender of speeding and avoiding law enforcement until she killed someone. So golf carts are a big or a big deal. Now I know where you you are, not necessarily a lot of golf cart communities, right, they're Okay, So where I live actually does have a lot of we'll say older people, and the topic recently has been should golf carts to be allowed on the road because that seems to be a trend with the retirement retirement community, which I'm not sure why, but I could guess I could see. But yeah, actually I've been a topic. First of all, the Amish are around here. Yeah, so when I say Horace and Buggy, they're not where I live, but they're like, you know, our away. But but no, the golf carts is a big topic here too. This is that time of the year. Bill, the golf carts are out, it's cruising around, hanging out. It's it's back in the seventy degrees here, and yeah, it's it's relive, It relates for sure. Still, Yeah, I guess you don't think about the golf carts like you said, right, Yeah, you're kind of more vulnerable, right, motorcycle golf cart. There's no protection in a golf cart. But when you're using it for you know, other than what you're supposed to be using it for, its it's a shame. But that's that's the thing, you know. It's unfortunately there people keep looking for other ways to avoid driving a car, and now it's a golf cart, and golf carts have becoming just as deadly as anything else. Unfortunately. Yeah, so I guess we could jump into the topics today, Bill and all Right. Today we had a lot of backlash questions. But unfortunately the way Bill and I have are are recording has followed here. We can't really preview it because by the time you get this, it will have been out. So we will next week cover some things on backlash. Just everybody listening, just so you know, we'll try to get a little bit better about that timeline. But we continuously have things pop up. We're human. What can we say, though, don't let don't let everybody know that they'll expect more from us. I'll kick it off Bill, Trinity, t and AB. I'm a big fan of her, and you know, I was excited to see that no matter where it was going to be. I kept hearing a lot of japan talking, maybe that they weren't willing to pay her as much or what. There's all sorts of rumors that appears to be put aside at the moment because T and A, you know, a debut was that debut happened? What did you think and what is your experience working with her? You have worked with her quite a bit. Yes, I worked with Trinity since she began, when she started training an FCW and even when she came on the main roster, I was. I was up there as a producer, and I've worked with the the divas at the time as they were called back then. You know, I worked with the women a lot and always a special kind of athlete. There's nothing she can't do, couldn't do, wouldn't try. Um, she made your mind work like, oh what if we did this? And out of this too it? And she'd spen countless hours in the ring and trying to get things done. It didn't that whole that, you know, that whole ordeal that happened with with her and and Mercedes in WWE. That's you know, everybody has an opinion, everybody has their thoughts on it. Come to find out as she hasn't. She came out and said she basically didn't like the way she has talked to Yeah, and that's what it came down to. You know, with all the speculation, no matter what it was for our Sasha or Mercedes at the time, Trinity just didn't care for how she was being treated, and she'd been there long enough to I guess, lack of a better term, command a little bit more respect, or be treated a certain way, to talk to a certain way, or at least treated like a person who's been there with some tenure. But then to come to find out the reason she hasn't been on the circuit right, she had shoulder surgery and she took care of her body because she'd been working, hurt and all these things. So she had an opportunity to travel and see Mercedes in Japan. I think that's where a lot of the buzz game was. Maybe she's gonna debut in Japan as well. But I think it's really cool how she did not and I keep saying she how Trinity did not come out negative, didn't come out and openly bash anybody that I'm aware of or the company. She just said, this is what I'm doing, this is what I want to do. I feel good about doing it. And then she so from all reports and people that have been at the show, those what a great way to debut. And you know, let's say say she's a star, she's a proven star. I think she canna have a lot of a lot more opportunities then she's had for quite a while, and I'm just happy to see her. I always, I was, always and will always be a fan of hers as a person because I got to know her, but then as a as a performer, entertainer, wrestler, whatever we have to call everybody nowadays, I think I'm happy for I'm glad she's doing well, and I'm glad she's where she wants to be in and it sounds like she's having fun. I've always been a I've always I'm always rooting for her. I feel like she is an individual that had to like re build and reimite herself and she was able to do that. That is a huge challenge with wrestlers, right and you know that you've been through a lot of different gimmicks about the years, and she found something that stuck and that's not something that went over or as will say, that's not easy to do. But let me ask you this. We always hear about the frustrations that people are going through when they're working. Hurt famously seeing punk frustrations back on his day to B departure and being hurt. Yeah, he went on that podcast and just basically went completely open with everything that happened with the Elbow staff and affection just working hurt in general. How tough is that to continue to do so, and how that kind of probably wears on your morale or your emotions in a workplace. There's so there used to be the mindset was out of sight, out of mind. So when you were hurt and banged up, and you know, things like that, if you could walk and go and lace them up and go for fifteen twenty minutes on a live event and making the TV, you did that and without going too deep into a rabbit hole. A lot of people had different ways of dealing with that, you know, whether it was medication or alcohol or or you know, just no sleep and all these things and finding through it because there was a fear of if you work there, someone else would take your spot. And then, you know, fast forward a couple of years, they said that that doesn't exist anymore, but I'm going to say it does exist. There's always that fear, whether whether you're in the w W E A E W New Japan, or if you're an IBM, or if you're at at and T or if you're at Walmart, because you know, after a certain amount of time, if you're not there, the company moves on without you. Right, So I think everybody fears that. I think wrestlers aren't protected as much as in the corporate world is, you know, because now there's plans for paternity, maternity, all these things, you know, But wrestlers and lets, you're that top echelon kind of talent. You're you're in constant fear of your momentum being stopped or someone or losing the creative you know, direction you're going. So and I think that doesn't go away because of all the stories that have happened before. And I say, this group of talent that's come in, they've heard these stories, so naturally they abide by that, you know. So look, Punk was on top and he was hurt, so clearly he felt that if he stopped that they had given time, that was all going to be over and all these things, and he should have been taken care of. Different. I think we all feel that way. But I think that's still a mental A mental way of thinking is that if I can just get through this, and we have trainers now that can tape you up and get you through and listen, nobody needs to see me the other twenty three hours and forty five minutes. They just need to see me for fifteen minutes a day. And if you can put on that smile of that grimace and get through it. I mean, there's been a lot of men and women over the years, as you know that, and you hear the stories of guys like I'm fifty seven, and I know guys that are younger than me that can't walk straight anymore, can't, you know, because they fought the good fight and they believe that if they would have taken the time off, forgotten fixed, they would have been out of a job or out, you know, out of an opportunity. So I think it's still very very relevant today, you know. I think the only thing that's different is if you have a guaranteed contract, you know at least your money's there. But I've yet to hear any I don't hear a lot of people going I don't care I'm getting paid. Even the people who are getting paid a great deal of money want to be in front of the camera, and you know, on TV, so injuries and things like that are are a big, a big thing. It's a big it's a hard thing to come to terms with. Hey, uh I gotta get this fixed. Whether you're like in Trinity's case, now she was gone or done with WW and she still struggled with getting it done, but she got it done. And and if if there's a if, there's a correct time to do it, I guess that was the time. But I don't think as athletes we ever think it's the right time to get something fixed. There's probably Okay, so you talked about the financial piece, and as you two eleven or whatever, el's say, your career, you probably were actually on the benefits. You had benefits, I'm sure once you got into the NXT role at least you're not an independent contractor or were you you can correct me, So I was a wrestler, let's say, so employee. Okay, well, you're you're using the correct verbiage. I guess we'll say you're an employee to some of these people, they might be upper make carters or whatever, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're making enough money. So what's that financial impact? Also, if you need to have some work done, is that something the company always covers or well or if yourself speak for WWE, right, I can't speak for AW or anything else. And and my knowledge, I think it still holds true today. If you indeed get get injured, get hurt, get banged up, something tears breaks, uh, something like that. The company takes care of you, your medical bills like the company. And I'll say this, and I'll say this all the time. They take care of you. And you're still getting your downside and you know, all those things, whether you have to go to therapy, the therapy is taken care of. You know, everything is taken care of. So it's not you don't have a lot of expenses coming out of your pocket. You have a lot of mental arguments going on, and there's a lot of you know, it's almost like this is too good to be true. We'll wait a minute. They're taking care of me going to the doctor, they took care of the surgery. They're gonna be let me go. No one's no one's putting this kind of time and effort into me, if you know, and and and for me, I'll say this honestly. When I broke my neck in two thousand and three, I was told by by the guy running the medical part, Bob Clark, literally told me you could. Hey, we'll fix your neck, but you're gonna lose your job. We're gonna fire you. Why didn't get my neck fix right away? I didn't want to. I didn't get my neckfix until I literally couldn't move my arms, my head, my legs anymore. And then I got my neck fixed. But I was being told in the beginning, they don't think it's that serious, and and hey, if you want your neck fixed, they'll we'll fix your neck, but you're gonna You're gonna be fired. That's all I need to hear. I'm not I'm not getting my neck fixed. Yeah, I didn't go through, you know, and you look at it. You don't go through all these years of doing what you do and then something like that happens. Now, I'm pretty sure that Stone Cold didn't get the same conversation I got. I'm pretty sure Edge didn't get the same conversation I got. But there's certain people, and then it's the people that are in those positions too, how they talk to certain people. Right, perception is reality. So if they perceive you as a mid card guy, or you're expendable, they come out and treat you um less than. But I'll never forget the conversation Bob Clark told me, Yeah, yeah, okay, if you want, if it's that important to you, we'll get your neck fixed, but you're gonna be fired. And I was like, but I'm not getting my neck fixed right now until I could not take it anymore. But by then Bob Clark was out of that, out of that position. But that's, you know, that's a whole different story. But as far as the company taking care of you if you're if and when you're injured, especially due to your job, the financial parts less of a burden, I think it's still that mental emotional part that my gosh, how long am I going to be out? Because now listen, and here's the truth. If they're going to fix you and put all that investment into getting you back to healthy, then you're gonna have to go by what they say. So if they say six months, you're out for six months, now you're gonna be fighting with them for six months? I'm ready? What am I doing? And then you start going down the rabbit hole of you know, oh, I've gotten gone and all this and that and that's when that's when other things come into play. But I don't know how AW does it or you know, knee Japan or anybody like that. I don't And when we were in Japan, if you got hurt, that the company took care of all your medical things like that, so you're out of pocket. Was was very minimum of anything. But if you're not at that level yet, let's say like back in the day before wrestling was really a corporate enterprise, or people that are trying to make it, are making a living, but may not have a contract or something, Yeah, I could definitely see where that would be an issue where you may not even be able to afford to get it yeaken care of. Yeah. Even back in the in the eighties, when I started to get insurance, like medical insurance right the Blue Cross, Blue Shield or whatever whatever the case it is, it was a ridiculous amount of money a month, like eight hundred dollars. And I'm talking about in the mid to late eighties eight hundred dollars a month for medical coverage. You are making eight hundred dollars a month, you know what I mean. And back when they had Lloyds of London, all the guys were abusing the hell out of that, so that insurance things stopped by the time we got eat it up and we're ready to join the join the main rosters and things. So but it's really hard for guys to eyes and goals getting shirt because what do you do. Well, I'm professional wrestler. Now you got to go to the charts. So well, if you're five foot two, he should I weigh one hundred and twenty pounds, and you're two hundred and ten pounds and you're jacked up and you're this, and you're that, and you don't fit to you know, fit to criteria. You're paying a great deal of money. So independent guys and new guys and gals that are coming up, it takes a lot out of their pocket. We talked on CM punk and he's the next topic here. A few people asked about the backs. He was backstage at BW recently and then he came backstage up the picture of him. What impact, Yeah, what were your thoughts on that? People were wondering why you thought about that? I think apparently if you they asked him to leave. I don't know if that's contract tampering concerns or who even knows if that was even said or what happened. We certainly don't know that we weren't there. That was rumors. Well, if if you go by what the rumors were, they didn't ask him to leave until after about twenty twenty five minutes, right after it started to become And I would say my interpretation is as it started to go, Arena, why that punks in the back and all this stuff. So if you go by what you what you read, and what's been said on the internet, right, he met with Paul really quick or triple H and you know, pleasant tries. But listen, the one thing Punk is a genius at is staying relevant. And I just like he showed up WWE of all places. So now you gotta wonder how does that, how does that come into place? Since he's still under contract with aw right, but then he's an impact, right and he's so he remains relevant. Then the other side, for me mentally saw that whoever's asking the questions h all the work. To me, this wrestling thing is a big work, and everybody's getting all worked up about these things and always listening. Everybody's in on it to an extent, and it keeps everybody relevant. So I don't think it's a big a dealist what everybody says. I just think Punk's a genius. He keeps himself relevant and like and you and I've talked about it before. I'd almost bet he doesn't show up till Wimbley he doesn't. Yeah, I don't know. I think the ridings on the wall that he could or he couldn't. I don't. He's definitely stayed bal I mean, he stayed in the the situation still now, and it has been crazy to think it's been while. It was September when it happened. Yeah, we're still talking about that, and people are still talking about I know, Disco Inferno. I had to comment on the podcast last week that if the Elite can't work with him, it won't work with Hi. Maybe they should get fired. It's still this is still being talked about every day. Yeah, and what they have their new show, A W has their new show, right, um, I don't I don't remember the name right now, but when they do the behind the scenes stuff, and so they're still talking about it in those storylines because their show, that show is like six months behind their their TV stuff. So they're still talking about it. You know, I haven't watched that yet, So you did watch it. I haven't yet. I've caught bits and pieces of it, and and I'm what I'm not a fan of is these the storylines on that show are are months and months behind what's happening. So it's almost like just watching it and listening to repeat itself and making it more which the leads me to this is not a behind the scenes reality show. This is just more scripted stuff. That's yeah. Kardashian like, well, it's like Total Divas, right, what they were doing on TV, and Total Divas was six months behind the storylines on TV, so we already know the outcomes of all these things. It hasn't really captured my attention. This total bucker is total I see I see dog Demot back there making a presence. He drip, Yep, he saw. He's making a scene looking out the looking out the window window. That's shade. You see the shades behind me. Yeah, he's looking out him. Man, he's got yeah, let me out, Bill, Yeah, he's like, come out there. He is the giant head. He just turned two this week. Well, you're you're blinds are bent so he pushes everything with that giant NASA. His head's like a ball. He's good. He had a big head. Uh No, but you talked about it. We continue to talk about see him bunk at this rate. Man, I'm I'm a big seampunk fan. I'm ready to see see him punk back. Let's just do it. That's that's my mindset. I know you have a little bit different me though, I'm like, let's just get this going. See what happened. Well, let me, let me, let me, let's switch roles for a minute. I'm gonna be you and you be me. You're a big cmpunk fan. How did you feel when he initially came back to AW You can probably guess you thought it was great, Right, Okay, here we go, Russell is going to be I got his shirt, I helped crash the website. Yeah, so then let so fast forward. How did you feel after the press conference and everything ending the way it did, and what makes you excited for him to return again. I think there's going to be a different outcome. Well, what the concern to me is that I don't want that to be the last thing I see a seampunk and I don't think seampunk wants that either I don't know him, but to me, he really is. He's great and I think he's important. Aw I really have struggled to with some of the storylines. I thought it was rough enough when he was there, and some of the weird stuff they were doing before with Chris Jericho and JF. I just want, I guess, I just I'm selfish, right, I want to be entertained to answer your question. But business wise, I can see what you're saying, but I want to be entertained because what are they saying about Wimbley? You mentioned the paper view you what was it? Thirty five thousand sold so far? I think as of today it's forty five thousand sold. Okay, so we're we're right there. I think I said forty would be a would be a success. So they're they're you know, if they if they're if they're truly at forty five now they're looking to hit sixty, no problem. Yeah, But what do you are you a fan? I know you're a fan of cmpunk regardless, are you a were you a bigger fan of what he was doing w W E or a fan of what he was doing A w that's a bigger fan of what he's doing. A ring of honor or, ring of honor, ring of honor. Do you think do you think a cmpunk is going to go back to a ring of honor? Now? No, No, I don't either. I find it, but no, I don't. If there is many to be made, he'd go somewhere. But I don't. I don't think so. No. I could see I could Daniel Bryant doing something like that. I could see Daniel Bryan. Yeah, I could see Claudio. I could see them doing that. But do you so do you think that what style fits Punk better in your opinion, WWE or AW. It's a good question. I would like to say AW if he really had his more creative control than he did in WWE. But as far as where you know, guaranteed maney to be made and stuff, that'd be WW. But for the possibilities that he could bring out, as far as the things that he's known for and good at, you think that AW by definition and what they kind of have a free reign on the on what they're doing. As far as the wrestlers have more control, you think that would benefit him, But it didn't seem necessarily be the case, because he was still to your point where you're going. He was still frustrated at times regardless. Yeah, I think it's interesting like Phil keeps himself relevant. I would, I would, And this is just me because I'm I'm the same as you. I enjoy him. I think he's good for business. I genuinely think he wants to be in the business and part of the business. But I'd hate to see him come back for one more show and that be it, you know, But I don't see how if you go by everything's being said and interviews and tweets and from a ew stars and characters and personalities, I just don't see everybody coming to that Kumbaya point of let's just do business. I still think it's gonna it's too personal or raw. And I think if Punk comes back into the full, you may see other people leave the full. Wow. Do you think we talked about this? And like, I think you and I both agree that Kenny Omega has a high possibility against something else's shot next year. Yeah, you think the young you think the young Bucks will be around. I feel like if I was those those three guys, I'd be saying to myself the same as Cody said to himself, look what we did. Look or we're capable of Let's go. I mean, and we've talked about this and you'll hear everybody say the pinnacle of pro wrestling or sports entertainment. It's not a knock on anything else. Everybody who's laced up their boots has dreamed at least one time of being in that ww Everybody most admitted somebody, I don't care, but they everybody. But I think if Kenny or the Bucks were to make that move and it didn't work out for them, they did it, and I think they have enough confidence and enough experience to know they could go and, you know, make lightning strike again because I think they'll always have a place to work if business being business. But I truly think that Omega would would go into another dimension with WWE. Let me let's go back to the sampunk. Not sampunk, but I recently my friend has a podcast and she had a j Leon Okay, girls are called her, Yeah, what is your experience with her? And she had a historic run that doesn't get talked about very much there without her reign of Diva's Champion. So April was another one of those like she was genuinely quiet, right, she was kind of like, you know, she was like the little and she's she's like a tiny person. So I say a little girl, but I don't mean it derogatory. She's just a tiny She's just a little girl, unassuming. When she latched on to that character and what she was doing, she was a million bucks with the confidence that was built. And as she was going a million bucks, everything she did was gold. She was one of the best characters and best best things on television and live events and and everything else. And I, yeah, I'm not sure why she's not talked about as much. Um I'm not sure if it's a residual punk you know, he or any thing like that. But I thought she had a great run. I personally thought she had a great attitude and she had a lot to offer. Um, So I dug it. I thought I thought she was great. She got out early too. Yeah, her her running buddy too. Caitlin to me was the same way. You know, these girls were just just starting to get you know, cut their teeth and really get a feel for what was going on, you know. And and I think uh Aj took it really far and did really well. With it, and then it's just kind of this is that's a The podcast is called Reppin by the way of when there's a plug for my friend a good professional conversation. Of course, April has also gone on to be a best selling author and accomplish other things outside of professional wrestling. That I did want to plug that podcast real quick and ask you about a J Lee, So we got that in there. I was a fan, a fan, all right. So we had another question from Okay here this McMahon's mustache. Bill, I would like to know your thought and take on the Britt Baker T shirt situation. So those of you listening that maybe don't know, there's a storyline going on. Britt Baker suffered a real black eye and they come out with this T shirt because she posted like I'm gonna say a selfie of it. Yeah, and it's on a T shirt now and a lot of people are saying and I could see there where they're coming from all this way Devil's advocate here, it kind of does look like a picture that would be taken if law enforcement got involved and took photos of an instant of its like a something that happened, maybe a domestic dispute. The exture does kind of come across with something like that, even though I think as a wrestling fan, but we don't. That wasn't the first thing I thought of, but now that people brought it up, I could see it. So it's been a huge topic this last week. So AW is selling the merch is also I guess what we should say. They put it on a T shirt and they're selling it because it did. It looked like a mug shot, you know, it looked like, you know, someone got arrested for being in a bar fight. Right, that's what they look like at the end of a bar fight. But why a mug shot also looks like if a copy got called to the scene of a crime domestic violence, right, take a picture of the victim. Did a wrestling fan start this or did someone or did someone seeing go on? I don't think we should be doing this. And like, at the end of the day, it's wrestling. It's entertainment. Whether they call themselves pro wrestlers or sports entertainers, it's it's wrestling, and everybody has to take it to the extreme opposite of what it's meant for. And if no one ever would have brought it up. Would you have said to yourself, oh, that's a domestic violence issue. I don't like this, I can't support them. Or would you look at it and said, that's a britt Baker sure, because no one had a problem with her bleeding all over the place and then selling that merchandise. That's footage is still used. For goodness sake, they have action figures bloodied up a Britt Baker and thunder Rosa, you know what I mean. So I just think it's everybody has an opportunity when they see it. Here's here's my five seconds of fame on social media. Let me start a ship storm and really and and then what do you have to do? You either have to defend it or or laugh it off. But I couldn't believe how fast it became a domestic violence as you and and how certain organizations were jumping on board and going. So you're you're forcing the hand of a w to go, Okay, let's let's take this off the the merch shelves and everything else, or you just stay and stay the course and just deal with the backlash. But I just don't know why everything has to go to something other than what it's for. Yeah, And I always wonder, like you said, with these things, is this really like did this really escalade because of a non wrestling thing or is that just how we are in the wrestling community. I always wonder that, you know, Yeah, don't you know? Can you just like can you watching go wow? Smart? They're making money off of this deal or whatever it is. Okay, they're telling this story. I think they do that very well, but then it always turns into so much more that takes that kind of takes the fun out of it, kind of takes the whole storyline out of it. So you know what, don't gonna do? Make them change everything they're doing now? And I mean, what's the next You're gonna wrest Chris Jericho for domestic violence? I mean, where are we? Where are we going? I think of my one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Breath the Hitman Heart talking about Dean Ambrose and the fork in the forehead that certainly didn't get talked about. How off the rails that was. Yah, We'll move on. Aw skid Marks is the name of this next Twitter verse person uh interesting tag speaking about Sonny Deville and her stalker being sentenced to prison. Yeah, are you familiar with this situation some years ago? Bill? Yes, Yes, So this is actually a pretty serious thing here, so correct me if I'm wrong. It's been about three years and she had somebody attempt to break into her house and pretty much so the investigation determined that this individual was stalking her with the antenna, kidnapping her anything. Yeah, this week he actually got sentence I believe, right to thirty years or something like that. Yeah, I don't remember what it was exactly quite a while. That's a serious thing, Bill, it was a big number. And and and this wasn't the first time that that person had attempted to get to Sonia either. Yea repeat offender. This this whole thing like so we could tie it in with the Baker thing, like to a lot of people, this wrestling thing is real. And this guy, so I don't. I'm gonna say his mental capacity is way off because he kept trying and trying after even after a few warnings and being arrested, he continued to do this. So now you're not only a fan or a fanatic, You're you're trying to physically like he's mentally scarred. Her for for life, I believe, like and because you know, what was that last month or something something happened Atlantic City where she had a firearm in her car right for protection. Yeah, because she's afraid. When if you're afraid to go out in public or you're afraid that you need assistance and all these things like there that's a serious that's a serious, serious problem. And and I'm i'd like to say, I'm glad they finally got this guy out of the way, so hopefully that you know, Sonyan and her partner can just move forward with everything. But that what a terrible feeling to know that you every step you take, and listen, we make our living at night. You're going to your car at night after a show, you're driving at night, you're checking into hotels at night, and for women to be alone, and that was always the thing like women had the women had to travel at least in pairs. And but what a what a terrible they even what exactly was that Billy said they had to travel in pairs. Was that something that the company would have talked about or like that's something that they would have worked out of themselves, or yeah, playing that's something, Yeah, That's something that was kind of I don't want to say wasn't written in stone, but it was kind of implemented and suggested that no one, especially the females, no one travels alone because there you know, like for people who don't know, you leave a show in Buffalo, you got a five hour drive, three hundred some mile drive to Wilkes Bar for TV the next day. You know, so you're leaving Buffalo at night. It's a long haul for three and a half hours or whatever it is, four hundred miles or you know, so you started saying, okay, you start driving together. You got a buddy up, so no one's alone, one for safety of driving and you know, at night and all those things and checking in and but the other thing is now you have people that are literally falling you from place to place. They used to be called fans. Now they're going to prison because they don't understand the difference between reality and TV or whatever the case is. This guy wasn't stopping. I mean, he was at their home in Florida, he was at shows, he was at the performance center. He was following her. From what if I understand it right, I could be I could be wrong, But there were messages left, there was always some kind of contact, a lot of stuff. Yeah, and it's it's terrible. It's someone has to go through that, and there's been a lot of guys that have gone through this as well over the years, you know, but it's it's just for her to go through this for this many years. I'm happy that there's at least an outcome where she, hopefully she feels a little safer now that this guy's you know, out of the public eye. But that's you know, that's that's the thing of all the things that we kid around and talk about, like why do people take this so serious? That's one you have to take serious. And and hats off to to everybody who's protected her since then and really looked out for her and tried to make her because she was gone for a while off TV like it was a big strain on her as a person. Well, that's what it's going to ask, Bill, You've been a part of something very traumatic in your life. Yeah, these kind of things. Let's say a court day in this instance, it's like a victory, but yet it's got to be an instance that kind of tracks back a lot of those emotions of bringing back to that time. Yeah, you have. You have to. Now you have to face the person that's caused you this. You know, this, these obstacles in your life. This this thing that you were doing and you thought you were good at and all these things. So when those court dates come up, you're reliving that over and over again. And and just for people that have gone through similar situations, you just don't forget about it after the judicial process is over. Hats off to to her for continuing to do what she loves to do and then struggling with that that thing of you know, now you've got to is there someone else out there like that? Or am I safe here? Or you know, all these things that go even if she doesn't relay them to other people, they've got to be in her mind. And for anyone who goes through something traumatic like that in in any business, right, it doesn't things that trigger they keep triggering it to set it back off again. So I truly hope she finds some peace in this and that she can continue to, you know, to keep doing her thing and hopefully feel safe, heard her partner feel safe and they can just like do their thing and live their life without having to look over their shoulder all the time. Well said, We'll move on to a question by Bob Orton's cast Love Bill and Jeff. What do you think about Mike Tyson being interested in having a w B match against Logan Paul. He recently went had had an interview with Forbes where he brought this topic up. Thanks for your time, Bob Orton's cast. So are you familiar with this at all? Bill? I caught them, I guess I caught the headline of Mike Tyson said he wants to fight Logan Paul or whatever the case is. And Yeah, to be honest, I just I didn't think anything of it. So Mike, Mike Tyson was with WWF right WWE. Then he's with a W right he did, he did an appearance or two or whatever it was with a W and now Logan Paul's the hot thing, and now he wants to come back to ww AND and listen if it, if it draws money, great, I don't think. I don't think there's any draw to it, if I'm being honest, because and I think part of the question how I took it as we have Logan Paul is a wrestler now yep, but he's still more of a celebrity yep. Hell of a lot of respect for what he's done in wrestling already. I'm not putting that aside. So do you get us there's a celebrity celebrity thing work out here? You see what I'm saying is that where you're kind of going, yeah, who benefits from you know what? I mean? You could doing Yeah, you know, there's no there's nothing to draw them in. What would draw? What would and this is right, just my opinion, what would make WWE go, oh, this is a draw? You go in celebrity boxing and see that. Yeah, And and the Paul brothers have done a great job with that as well on the boxing scene. Yeah, you know Floyd Money, may Well, Heather. I mean they've made great connections and done great things with that. I think it's interesting. And Mike Tyson talked about how he did that stuff with aw basically said those guys pay a lot of money, but he obviously rather be a w B just because of the exposure you're getting the business is handled. Yeah, Yeah, I thought that was interesting. Mike Tyson's interesting guy. Man, He's another one you talk about Stan Punkeevan himself in the spotlight. Mike Tyson's is pretty good about that. He has a podcast. Yeah, listened to it a couple of times. It's a little silly, laid back. I enjoy it. But he's a guy that's pretty good about keeping himself out there. Still. Yeah, yeah, I would, I guess I now that we're talking about it, I'm thinking about it. I wonder why he wouldn't go after Jake Paul the boxer. Right, that's a good question that I think would be a bigger draw, a bigger interest, you know, because Jake Paul's the boxer. He's taking the boxers like he's Isn't he nationally ranked or something now, world ranked in a WBC or something like that. I don't know if he's ranked, but he's definitely broken. I mean, he's onto the scene there. Yeah, So I'd be more interested to see Mike Tyson and Jake Paul than i'd see Mike Tyson and Logan Paul. But to your point, Mike, Mike knows how to get that exposure and the bigger exposures with Logan Paul. Absolutely. Well, let's let's finish up the rest of this podcast here with the draft, A lot of questions about the draft and how how you feel about it. Bill, The draft is underway, and what do you think before we get into some of the results, what do you think the purpose of the draft was? In your opinion, I think the whole purpose of the draft was to announce another world title. I think it's absolutely announcing. This draft to me is worse than any other draft they've done, because then as we go into and I know I'm jumping ahead because my head spins with this stuff, because now there's certain people aren't drafted. Their free agents they can go anywhere. Yeah, but then you're you're drafting NXT people. You're drafting people and and this is not a shot at any one individual, but you're drafting people that are irrelevant to anything that's going on right now, and yet other people are free agents. And the worst thing that was said, in my opinion to wrestling fans is Roman Reigns is gonna stay on the brand he's drafted, which is now what SmackDown? Right, Him and his championships are staying on SmackDown. So what are we gonna do to make very happy? We're gonna have a New World Championship title. You you just punched everybody in the nuts. This was the concern to me with the Bloodline storyline as it relates to Cody Rhodes. I hope. I just don't see how just throwing that new title on him will help after there's unfinished business and they and they've kind of laid it out there where they imply that that could be unfinished business down the road, But to me, that is that's where Cody Rhodes goes over eventually. I was very open about the fact that I was very supportive about the fact that he lost at WrestleMania. Yeah, a lot of people weren't. You didn't fur to see it happening. I actually threw it out there as a possibility. But I think there's throwing that title on him just kind of I don't want to say devalues him because this is this is entertainment people, But nevertheless, it kind of goes against when I think a triumph inion the good guy coming out on top eventually. Yeah, and all the time and effort that has got into the Bloodline and everything that's maybe they aren't doing that Bill. That's just my consint But I think that's I think that's I think that's ninety of the wrestling world is concerned with, Oh, they're gonna give Tody Cody this one because he didn't do he didn't be Roman. And so you have a Universal heavyweight Championship. But yet Raw is gonna have a world champion. Yeah, so now we have three belts are world champions. Right, he's the Universal, he means a SmackDown and Raw Universal, and now you're gonna have the world champion. Listen, the belt's great. I know Trip Blake tried to put that belt over. You just look at this beautiful belt, and I think a lot of people just had the win ticket out of their sales, going, don't do it. You like, we bought into this, Like I'm back to being a fan of the storyline, don't do it. I think that's the fear of people going, if they put this on Cody, I think they're gonna drop I think they're gonna drop the ball. What are some good things that before we talk about the details of the draft that could come out of the draft, Is it okay, let's think back of the draft in two thousand. Gosh, I don't want to say the Dave Krong three four. The original draft Bill when it was basically the Sandals, John on the line, these people are gonna be on SmackDown. You had Kurt Angel people like that that, you had these people are gonna be on Raw And what that did do, Bill was allow TV time for other people, right, and it kind of developed new people out of that, more made event people, more, more personalities. However you want to phrase it, is that something that's possible if done right with this No, because they've they've come out and told you that there's already a bunch of free agents that can go wherever they want. That's their way of keeping it flexible. Huh yeah. And and you to me, if you have the draft, if I draft, say Quon Barkley to the New York Giants, he's not showing up in a Buffalo Bill's uniform. Three weeks later they I thought they did a great job initially of making this draft a big thing way back then. But now the draft is just I think people, it's just something. Okay, So that time of year, we're gonna do the draft because everybody knows that Rear Rippley's gonna be on both shows. Everybody knows that Roman Reigns is not gonna stay on one show, and if he does, what's USA gonna say about it? And then if this happens here, what is this? And how long do you keep them apart? And how long before the backstage well, you know my money's being cut, no, because I'm not doing this, And then you know, there's so many things that come into play. You're you know you're gonna you split like they when they initially split up. The Dudley's right in that draft, why Devon went to SmackDown Bubba State on Raw or whatever it was, and people are going but then all of a sudden they came back together, like unless it's a special moment WrestleMania, But how how does that happen? I don't. I don't as a fan, I don't believe in the draft anymore. I find it to be very to treat me like I'm really not paying attention, Like you're you're questioning my my fandom, my intelligence of the business now, and it makes me less less interested in what's going on because the first time you see someone that was drafted to SmackDown show up on Raw for whatever reason or vice versa, that's the first thing they have to address. So now the commentators are screwed because they have to justify it. So I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan of the draft. And the thing that really got me this time was the free agency. These talents are undeclared, meaning they want to be able to use them when they want to where we want to. Yeah, this way, we got bodies for both shows, and and so I you know, I don't know. Let's kick it off. Then we'll break it down a little bit. Okay, the Bloodline, Roman Reigns, Solo, and Paul Hayman are all going to SmackDown as the first What do you know, Cody Rhodes goes the role on the second pick. So they're establishing what appears to be here, Like we said, I hope not, but all the writings on the wall for two World have two champions main champions. Right the third pick they get I meant, excuse me, Bianco Bell Lair and SmackDown made the title kind of there, right, And later on you see Riha Ripley kind of fall, which I thought was just we're talking about draft, Like, who am I legitimately going to draft? Because the value the talent and all that. I don't think Rio Ripley good tonight too, like she did on the following week on Raw. It would probably be one of the main bigs for me. So that kind of made me laugh. But nevertheless, so they did separate. They conveniently separate the women's titles out. And you're telling me that when I think of a draft, right, if I could get both Bianca Bill Lair and Rio Ripley, I'm going to do it. Yeah, but yeah, of course we can't do that in the storyline here. But okay, so this situation happens also with Imperium going to Raw, so you have the intercostinal title moved to Rawle then Austin Theories moved to SmackDown exact title swap again. In that scenario Bill interesting enough, though, the usos are sent to SmackDown exclusively, and then the tag team champions Sammy's and Kevin Owens are sent to Rawl and also at night to pick Bill. Not it was round one, Bill, it was still round one. And I like how they said night two, Round one, pick one. How do these guys not on the first night. I don't know if it's a real draft but I don't want to be one of those kind of fans that breaks it down like that. But they have still separated the titles out. They're they're they're kind of flipping fresh faces on new programs here. Yeah, but you're so let's go back to Ria Ripley. What champion is she? By the way, SmackDown SmackDown's women's champions, But she's on Raw with the SmackDown title, correct, So and it's and it's the other way with Bill kabel Air she is on SmackDown with the role What was the what was it when they did the year? Were they just literally traded belts? I don't know if they're gonna do that. I mean, what do we do there? And to your point, your champions, you have Tom Brady ready to be drafted. You know what, let's hold out till night too, maybe we'll still get them. Your champion should have been the first ones drafted. And to your point, and that's why I think you I think a lot of people this is when they start to read into it, going, why are you doing the stars? Why would you? Why would you make rear Ripley a night to pick? And then you're separate. So are we going to get new tag team championships as well? So we have tag team champions on both shows? Hope not. It's not deep enough. She's a lot. I'm telling you man. That was one thing about Roman Rain's run and I have gone out and I have said it a million times on this podcast, other podcasts, other conversations. It helped legitimize that title again. Yes, and what we're doing here worries to me that it takes that away. Gunther has legitimized that title. Yes, Austin Theory is starting to do the same. Yeah. But to me, it's just let's get new faces on new shows. But I think there's another and we can get into some other details of things that happen. But I think when NXT was stripped down of what it was and rebranded, I don't know what I call two point or whatever. Yeah, the thought it seemed to me, and I'm not part of the company, I don't know, they wanted to utilize that brand for more faces. Saw Charlotte Flair go there the New Day there, they had their third show here to kind of utilize another platform that they because that's what we're running into here. For some reason, it seems like they're convinced that you have to and this is what's made the Blood Lying great by the way that you by do. If you're not doing this draft, you some reason have to have the same people on storyline going on on Raw then happened on SmackDown. But well that wasn't necessarily the case with the Blood Line. The majority of it happened on SmackDown. They did make Raw appearances when it was big, but they wanted to expose the story even more. But they didn't need You don't to me, you don't need them on rawl anyway. They're drawing a line at the sand here and writing it in stone, which kind of limits them, which is why they had this free agent thing. But to me, I don't think you had to go that far. I don't need to see Roman Reins on roll. Yeah, and you don't. So do you think we Do you think they the company they needed the draft or do you think they felt like the fans wanted the draft? I feel like it's just something that comes around every year, or now it's just something Okay, here's here comes a draft. Yeah. I think it's kind of a to get more talk going on about the brand and try to shake things up. But they didn't necessarily have to go about it with a draft. Yeah, but that seems to be the tendency of how the how it's handled. I get it new faces and new channels, new TV, and like I said before, let's let's go back to n XT. The stripped NXT of its greatness what it was to utilize it as a third platform nxts intent what originally was for developmental by definition, and they would bring in veterans that would work in there as the Samoa Joe's at by friend Austin Airies if they did good business with up and coming people. Ye. And then they went to the main roster by Bobby Rude. I love Bobby Rude. Let's talk about him. He wasn't drafted. What's going on with that guy after? Since he had an next surgery or whatever. These guys were brought in and they worked with new talent. Then they went up to the main roster and the new talent that they developed would work with the new talent, if that makes sense. They had a feeder system going onto the main roster here. So they took n XC away and they made it a third brand. I get it. You have so many people you want to get them on TV to help them develop. But by doing that, it did kind of put an axe into what made NXT great in my opinion, back when I was watching it exclusively on the DVB Newe. And now you've totally stripped NXT all their talent. You can't get you can't get it back. You can't get that original NXT thing back five even when you were towards the end of your company run there, you can't get back that greatness that was NXT. No, he just that's not something you can just go back to. Now down to your point, they're still they still took the talent off of there. But now, what's the plan with NXT that you did that, because they don't exactly have a solid setup of new talent mixing with veterans at this point in time. Right, So you've drafted them, and you've drafted their champions by the way, So but you've drafted them, Now are they expected to still go back and forth to NXT because that negates the draft as well. Well? They the one is the women's siddle was relinquished, right, but so she so Indie Right, it's Indie heartwell and theory she's done with NXT. Apollo Cruise is done with n XT, Zoe Stark, all these people are done with XT. That Nigerian Yeah, last thing he did, what was up with I don't know, but but but here you they literally drafted what twelve twelve talent from NXT? What do you do with n XT now? And then? So why were these people drafted ahead of others? Okay, but on the flip side of that, NXT had no say in this. It doesn't get anybody either. So nxts our third brand. Now you have free agents that can go anywhere they want. Though NXT is our third brand. Now we've kind of stripped it out of me. It's still developmental, but we've watered it down pretty much. And they don't get anybody from this. And I don't think they need anybody on a draft, but I still think that that that NXT needs, and a lot of them have gone to AW Let's be honest. They need those hardly veterans that have been well traveled to come through, like austin Aries did, like Shinska Nakamura did, like Samoa Joe did, like Kevin Owens did, and that's a good way to fit into n and set yourself up for the main roster while getting somebody else ready for the main roster. I feel like they've lost that and it's not addressed. It's still hanging out there. I didn't understand it from the I feel like it's gone. You know, we could talk about it, and it's just the way I look at it. NXT was successful, so successful that they had the water down, rebranded, all these things, take away the people that made it successful, whether behind the scenes or in the ring. Now new regime Hunter takes over. Nxts going good again. Now we have the sell the company, Vince's back, NXT's getting watered down again. My fear for everybody's got drafted is everything they've done in NXT is gone and they're all starting over now on the main roster, and it's gonna happen to a lot of them. What happened to Pack and Tyler Breese and all these other guys, And like I said, there's no recapturing what you used to have. This Yeah, you can't go back to it. So you're let's be honest, you're a triple H guy. I'm a triple H brought you on board on the n x T YEP when it started up, What do you think and how hard was that? And I know this, we're just going on a sidebar here, but that was his baby, yep and to see it kind of drift off. How hard you think that was for him because he had a lot of time and effort and was it was so well praised for what they had built there. He still I still don't think he got the the flowers he should have gotten with what he created. And again it's just my opinion my thoughts. I think personally he was devastated. But if it's one thing that Paul is trip Leach is from start to finish his business and he understands the way the business goes and personal feelings have no place in it, to be honest with you, So I'm not sure that he was one hundred percent in agreement with it. I'd almost say he wasn't. But he knew it was business and if he wanted to continue to make the differences he was making in the business and for the company, then he would have to give up some of the things that he created. Does that make sense, Like, let's let's see, let's see what kind of business man you are. We're gonna we're gonna, lack of a better term, We're gonna force you to this dismember your baby for the better of the company. So Paul's business. He understands business better than anyone else, I think. But at the same time, I personally I think he was one of those things like, come on, man, of all things we gotta do, why do we have to do this? He's not. I think He's done a fantastic job of trying to give some of those people another opportunity to show their worth. I'm not sure how well it's worked out, but I'm a big I'm a big tri bleached guy. I believe in his vision and what he was doing, what he wants to do. I think it was very hard for him on that initial thing when NXT was, you know, stripped down to bare bones. Again, I bring that up because we have a lot of people ask about n XT and we should probably get to that sater other than later the formation of that in your evolvement, even with the training program going back to FCWM and even before that, yea, we will get to that very same But we get a lot of questions about you and NXT Bill obviously, Yeah, big big fan of the brand, big fan of what they've done it really, it's still it's still um I don't want to upset, So it bothers me to to watch some of what's happened and to know what what's capable of happening there. Like it's I still think it's a good thing. And the fact that it's still being you know, they still call it the development Now it's back to the developmental brand, right, that's what they come out and say publicly on the shows and everything else. But if it's developmental brand, then what are you drafting these kids for? They're unproven And then so this is why I go back to the draft, Like, I'm I don't understand the Draft. I think they insult our ore fandom with it, and I think they've taken away a lot of the storylines. I'm not I'm not a fan. I'm gonna say right now, I'm not a fan of the Draft. What did you think about how they drafted in groups? So the Bloodline had roman Ants Sokoa Solo and Paul Hammond Imperium even stood together, which I was kind of surprised. And the OC makes a comeback, and I'm a huge AJ Styles fan along with Luke Gallows, Carl Anderson. I was happy to see that, But you just draft the damage Control even even was in the Night one, so they're just drafting bulk also. Yeah, and it's just and let's let's be honest. How many times are we going to see the OC altogether? How many times are we going to get a j Gallows, Anderson and Mia all together? How many times? Now we've seen now where they're starting to separate the judgment day, so we've we keep All we've done is swap groups and do all these things. And so I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it. And and it maybe it goes back to the point I was making her. Maybe we're just making too much of it and overthinking it. But they lost me on they lost me in the draft when they said certain people are free agents and I went off. Then they turned around and they drafted newly for like Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville, Like, yeah, they're not, they're not champions, They're I got you. Well, we're looking way too far into it. You're right, but but you can but to see this is what they do to you that you go to it and go because we're sitting there trying to figure out, Like I want to say, you had my money, you had my attention. I was all invested and everything's going on, and now you're making me going six different directors trying to figure out what I'm going to be watching next to me. It was also about returns. I was hoping to see more returns. The OC's back, and and I would ask you, what else would Luke Gallows and Carl Anderson do. That's kind of where I'm at with it. And they're a tag team. I get it, but I mean to me, that's just what they are with AJ styles, that's kind of ya. It's been branded. We didn't get it. We still don't know what's going on with Randy Orton unfortunately, and I got I would like to see that guy get back getting run. Yeah, Bobby Rude's not drafted. He's still hurt. So those are a couple names out there that I was hoping. Riddle came back onto the scene right before this from rehab or wherever he was at, but I didn't get all the returns. I was thinking maybe there would be a few and Charlotte drafted. Right, Charlotte was drafted to stay on smack Out on the second night. I believe, Yeah, Cassette Franklin Franklin Rawlins is one of the users that could send us a comment. I forgot to say his name was Seth Franklin Rawlins on Twitter. I don't think it's Seth Freakin Rowlins, but yeah, Seth Freakin Rollins stays on rawl Yeah right, I mean back, I mean, to my point, I was hoping to see a little bit more of the returns, but we did not get that. We did get some premiers from NXT folks, like he said, just didn't necessarily make sense why. I was kind of thinking that Cameron Grimes would be in the mix because he's been off TV, and it sounds like, from my understanding, they're just waiting to be able to use him and maybe the main roster was going to be that, but it's still none there and nothing about bron Breaker correct. Yeah, it was the NFT guys people that I guess. I didn't like the Apollo Cruz. The guy's a great worker. I just if you're going to draft somebody, why would you not draft and honestly doesn't have a lot of potential because he he's greatly talented. But why would you not draft a brown breaker or somebody that you see as the future. I don't know, it's just weird. Like you said, it's we're probably over talking about it, but hey, we are talking about it. The other side of the draft is every time there's a draft and everything that's gone on with the with the company, there's gonna be cuts, There's there's gonna be there's gonna be a thinning of the herd. And that's the other underlying thing of you know this. So that's it, and that's just me being around it for so long. That's the way I look at it and go they had such a good thing going, I feel like they just put the brakes on it and said, Okay, we did it, Now let's go in this direction. But that New World Championship really, really, I think throws a lot of people off and really makes people question what's what's going on. Let's talk about some of the wtf's of this draft here. One that stood out to me was Trish Stratus drafted nothing against Trish Dratis. I was just like, wait, so she's just gonna a full time employee for years ahead. Here like was Leada drafted? I don't even remember, but I saw it. I just like it was all over Twitter and everything else, like welcome right the Raw or whatever it was. And I'm thinking to myself, how did that? How did that come to me? And what's her rule gonna be? Because you just you've just told everybody she's a full time raw roster. Yep, So other wts to me? No big E, no big E drafted, No bray Wyatt drafted, alex a bit Bliss drafted. Carmel is out on maternity leave. I get that. Yeah, And obviously Logan Paul is a free agent. We didn't get Bobby Reu like we talked about, but Randy Orton like we talked about. But yeah, Big E, man's Bray Wyatt, they're not included in this. Still curious big he's out and active with the neck injury. Man. I hope he can get back a lot of unanswered questions that are kind of highlighted because of the draft. Yeah, yeah, they because you start looking at go women, where's this guy work? Like, Okay, Randy's hurt or he's been out hurt. But Why wouldn't he be drafted. Why wouldn't Bobby Rude be drafted? Where's Eric Young? Why wasn't our truth drafted? Where's our truth in this thing? You know where we're Alexa Bliss? Why isn't she drafted? All all the people that have that have been mainstays on this thing. Uh And and then you know you look at and go, okay, it's you know they, I mean they they made a bigger deal out of swapping commentators than they did the talent. Correct. That was actually one of my next comments on that. They highlighted that. I also love how Baron Corbyn comes out at free Agent. Did you see that they had the overseas in France and he had that huge reaction when he picked up that win, that guy former Indianapolis Colt by the way, on the practice squad. Nevertheless, what do you think about Baron Corbyn? Your interaction to Baron Corbyn? So he was with me from day one when they signed him. He was with me in FCW. We're in Tampa together, Tom or Baron Corbyn. From the minute he stepped in here, he said, I'm here for one reason. I'm better than everybody else. I'm gonna catch on and I'm gonna be gold. I've watched him Transformer's Body, I've watched him learned the business. I've watched him become very good at what he does. I feel like that's one of the guys that I guess the term dropped the ball on. He should be. I think he should be involved in more things. I'm not sure if the JBL thing helped him or hurt him. All I know is it didn't last long, so it didn't really help him. But I'm I'm a big fan of Baron Corbyn, always will be. To me, he should have been one of those guys focused on the draft instead of he just gonna be a journeyman. Now I'm bounced from brand to brand. Yeah, and there's others as well, right he Adolph Ziggler, Yeah, you have a lot, Lias. What happened with Alias man that lost It's it's that guy had TV time, more TV time than you ever did. Bill. He got the Funks treatment right, once you're sick, once they're sick of it, that's it. He got the broadest clay treatment. Dance do the funk of sours get over like a million bucks? Okay? That I'm bored of that. Now move on, and there is you know, they did the switching of the twin brother or whatever the actor was, and but he's just fallen out of grace. But why is he drafted? Where we you know, where are these where are these guys at I'm kind of any things on a positive note here and giving you opportunity to talk about individuals. Dolph Ziggler undrafted. It makes no sense to me, So Bill, it's always been weird to me. Help Dolph Ziggler has been handled yep. I also would say in individual like the way Wade Barrett was handled. Those are two people that come off top of my head. Dolphin Zickler is one of them, though I would just never understand exactly where what their vision has been for him. Always always the conversations, the ones that I've been involved in and Privy two is Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston were put into the into the same grouping of they can have the best match every night with anyone on the roster. And then the next question was, well, what makes it different? You know what I mean? Yeah, what makes them different from seth Rawlins is one of the best wrestlers in the world right now, I think you'd agree with that. Yes, he can have a good match to anybody too. The Dolphins Zigglers never quite world champion, don't get me wrong, but he's never had the highlighted run that seth Rawlins has had. But do you when you think of Dolphin Ziggler, do you think of him as a former world champion? No, No, because it unfortunately, yeah, it's not and anything he's done, but I think he's you know, and I put him in Kofe that same thing. He's one of those guys they know that when they need a banger, they need a five star match. My favorite thing ever, they can put him out there with anybody and Dolve's gonna give them time, he's gonna entertain, and he's gonna be the best one out there. That was the same thing with Kofi. I never understood when that became a knock on a talent, but it literally, in my opinion, became a knock on those two guys, especially those two because Okay, we know what they can do, so you know, you give them things and then they help other guys, you know, and then you gotta give them things. But it's like you're peas in them because you know how great they are. Pat Patterson. Pat Patterson fought every night for Dolve Zigler, trying to make everybody see what Pats all with a lot of us saw in him, you know. But I think they were just grouped in and they being Kofe and dolf of two of the guys that go out there with anybody have a great match. You can't. There's nothing you can say to them. There's not a knock you can put on them. But that's the knock. Great they can do that with everybody. What's the thing that makes them special? That was the conversations. That's not me asking the question, that's giving the answers that were given at the time, you know, but nobody saw that thing. I'm a huge dolfh Ziggler fan. I hope he gets one more good run. Yeah, for love of God, what do you think will Yeah? He's so talented man, and he and the thing that's cool about Ziggler and the thing I think that hurts him at times is his delivery right because he's very non salant about it. He knows he's good, good looking guy, talented, He's got other things. You know, in the fire than just wrestling. You know, he's got a lot more to offer, whether it's entertainment or whatever he's gonna do. I don't know, man, I think I don't know what it's mean. I put T J. Wilson in that same category because he could go and work with anybody, have a great match, right, And there was just a group of guys that were that were in that that grouping that really, in my opinion, suffered from that. But I don't to me, there's no negatives on Dolf And then after wow, you kind of lose your zest for trying harder or wanting to do more. Because he's been there for over a decade. Remember when he was with Chavo Guerrero as caddy. I mean, he's white. Remember that he's done everything, He's proven himself. You know, he's one of those guys. He's a loyal he's a loyalist. He's loyal. Um. So I just don't, I just don't know. I'm I'm a big fan of his. I know he's not a big fan of me, but I'm a big fan of him. And I just think that there's so many opportunities that could still be given to him and in a minute you could put him back in the mix on top and he wouldn't miss a beat. So yeah, he's like the Christian the Christian Cages. Yeah, it's the frustrating part for producers because those guys like him, Dolph Zigg or Christian Cage, they can be back in the loop at any point in time. And and just a good ring talked about that, even with we talked about that, even with Jeff Hardy. Yep, you could probably get a couple of main event matches out of him rather than We talked about that on the last episode. Bill, my last question, your number one pick would have been this guy. He's a free agent almost oh Moss with MVP. Uh, you're a big guy, didn't get drafted. He's a free agent, right, Yeah, so he's gonna walk. I saw his match the other night and I just felt bad. I just felt bad. I think it's a little bit of old school booking trying to get him over. I think I think it's actually gotten backwards. They should have been doing that earlier to get him, to get him, to get him a little bit going. But you know, if you look at it, just look at it from the standpoint of look at his size and everything, why wasn't he Like, if you're trying to draft and put the best team on the field, why wasn't he part of the draft? So you got MVP and almost you know, it's as free agents now. I think the big guy, giant thing is gone. Yeah. I don't think it needs to be recaptured right now. Maybe we can come back to it down the road. Uh, it's it's you're not going to get another Paul Wier big show. No, uh in this scene for a long time. I don't think even I don't think it's something going after. You can't force it. We're trying to force it with him, We've tried to force it with others. Yeah, it's just not going to happen. It's it's at this point in time, in reality of where they are, where wrestling is, it's it's not needed. Yeah, I and they don't have enough people to one of that size or caliber to work with him on a regular basis, So, you know, it be it's always interesting to see what they're gonna do with him. But I feel like he's you know, he's kind of painted into a corner year and he's going to become you know, like the oddities. You know, he's gonna be that special attraction on live events and things like that. Well, with that being said, we picture you painting this experience with us, and I use that with well other some ww draft talk amongst other things, and h yeah, we'll see what happens. Bill. I'm curious a lot of unanswered questions. But hey, like you always say, we're talking about it. We're talking about the brand. That's it. As as as long as they keep making us talk about it, there's got to be an interest there somewhere. Oh obviously we're interested right talking, We're very interesting. So no, yeah, thanks again for listening this week. Of course, we'll be back next week unless Joe the Plumber decides to stop by the Dumont Resident demansion again and recavoc.
