Pre WrestleMania discussion and predictions

Bill DeMott and Jeff Townsend discuss and share predictions for WrestleMania 39.

The Bill DeMott Experience

This Podcast is a Jeff Townsend Media Production.
What's she gonna do? Brother? When Jeff Townsend media runs wild on you, Molly Townsend, of course, and with me is sweet Home Alabama. The master, Bill Dumont, your master of something. I don't know what it is, but I believe I could be the master of at least one thing. And I am the master Hasta sauce maker in my house. There you go. I can't even take it on that honor though I make the best. Some people call it gravy, some people call it sauce. It's just me in the kitchen with my apron. Are you testing? Are you testing it? Darn it? You have to. You have to dip a little bread. You have to dip something in there to get a little, a little taste beforehand. But nothing, nothing beats the smell when you take the lid up in it. Yeah wo And in the house, that's what I'm the master of. So Bill, as they can tell people listening, you sound a little bit different. But if you're watching video for him, you can tell you're in a hotel. You are not in the buildamont shravaganza of a house that you have the mansion on the on the on the ocean. Yeah, I'm not in the mop Mansion this week. I'm I'm in I'm actually a muscle Shoals Alabama. We're just finishing up a full week of presentations to schools. It's up here in northern Alabama. It's prom and spring break time, so we we have the opportunity to run in and so this week I've spoken over a thousand students, you know, as they get ready to have a good time and hopefully reminder about those decisions they make and and just remind of how important they are to come back from these things and have a good time and just be a little bit accountable and responsible for what they're doing. But you know, I came up here, did the week start on Sunday here for me, and it was twenty five degrees and I'm thinking I may move here. I mean, I checked into the and I'm staying at the Marriott Hotel and spot Muscle Shoals. Just to let you know, if you're ever in Muscle Shoals, stay at the marryott This place. The people are amazing, the hotels amazing. But I checked in in a T shirt and shorts and they were looking at me like I had three heads. It was twenty five degrees. I'm like, hey, how's everybody doing it? Like you're you gotta be nuts? Here in Indiana last weekend it did get significantly more old. I'm talking twenties. Thirties is the high. Maybe high twenties is the high. But as this week's gone on here, it's warmed up to the fifties and it's raining a crap ten like flood mornings and just rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, and warmer but windy. You know, you can't really enjoy it windy and wet, but you never know what the weather is going to be, like you really don't. You just uh, it's it's a what do they call a crapshoot every day you wake up and trying to figure it out. But yeah, so we're now Alabama. I'm in a hotel this week and uh the ship, Hey, the show. God, that's that's part of the building out experience, right, this is sometimes we just never know. Yeah, and I know it's gonna it's gonna throw you off because there won't beat dogs running around and you won't see my gigantic sun passing by me in the in the bat Maybe I can get one of the one of the bell hops or something to walk through. It's not much space behind you though, so that could be a little weird if they walk through. I'm stared because it's nowhere to go. Yeah, it's all good. Yeah, I almost had to record a few weeks ago with you in a hotel, but I got back in time and made that work, so it wouldn't be the first time I've done it. Certainly, It's a pretty common thing to see these days. Yeah, these podcasts so accountability. You're driving the effort, you're doing the cause, the not so glorious stuff. You can't go into it wanting the glory, obviously, but putting in the hard work that will make a difference and hopefully the kids can take something away from it without having to experience something like it. Yeah. Yeah, we've had and and here's the best part about it, Jeff, as we you know, you talk to the kids and you hope it resonates. And we always say, if we reach one or two people in a room full of five hundred, you know we're doing well. Well. The thing that's really cool for me is that these kids now contact you in social media, right, because that's the big thing now soweet, but they follow me and so I follow them. And the reason why I think that's cool is because now they know and I always explained to him when I speak to whoever I speak to, especially as students, once I speak to them, I become their coach. So a lot of the kids are now sending me tweets or something on Instagram saying, hey, Coach Bill, just wanted to touch base and say thank you. That's when we know we're making a difference. That's when we know that they didn't just feel like they had to sit there for forty five minutes or an hour, and now they realize that the cap they're following is going to hold them accountable on social media as well. So it's it's really cool to see the dynamic up here and how it's worked out. And when I tell you we've had, you know, just over a thousand students, but we must have thirty. I must have thirty different new students that follow me and I follow them back, and it's just kind of cool to have that relationship with them now because now they'll share their prom pictures and they'll share you know, having a good time but being safe and being smart and and that's really the payoff, man. It's it's really worth. It's it was worth the eleven hour drive to get here. It was worth to, you know, everything we've done emotionally and mentally to do these presentations. But it's it's really cool to see and I'm I'm very positively thinking that they were all going to have great weekends and a good spring break, and I just look forward to hearing from them in the future. As I told you before, there were a lot of incidents car x at my school that caused death, not all alcohol related, right, but nevertheless, I do remember somebody coming in and sharing their experience of death, but it was just a scare tactic, is what you felt like then? And and I think the missing piece was what happens after yeah, because the death itself is so terrible, but it doesn't end there. And I felt like with some of the stuff that I've seen before, it's about what it's about the impact that it has after yeah, and ongoing because it doesn't stop yeah. And I think that's kind of the gap that I've seen with a lot of people that are doing something similar to you, obviously for different reason possibly or a different experience. But that's from what I've gathered before. Yeah, I think, and that's true because a lot of even some of the national organizations that are out there, and they go and do the they bring you to in your face moment, you know, remember what we talked about, and they leave. It's it's not personal, it's not something you can connect with. And it goes back to when it's a difference between talking at someone or speaking with them, you know, and then bringing the real into it. And then hey, didn't stop on this day. Look at the effects of what's happened, and look what you know, the domino effect of all these things. And I think that's what they grab and at the end of the day, eat for me putting it all back on them and going you have the power social media wise, decision driving, you get freedom to drive and all these things, but you have the power to decide if you're going to impact people negatively or positively, and just take a minute to realize that those decisions have a lot to do with other people than yourself. And that's when they start looking around with their friends and and and it's it's horrible for me and I know this is a long, a long thing. But I feel really bad and it always takes me back to day one with my daughter. But when these kids and these are I'm talking about young men young women who come to you in tears and then share that they've been affected by something, no matter what it is the fact that they want to share because I've shared with them, they want to share with me. That's the real and I and hearing it from principles and counselors over the years, and on this trip saying that this young man or young woman who's not really vocal by a lot of things coming and spending that time with me, brother, nothing gets nothing's better than that. It's it's horrible that we have to meet that way, but it's amazing to see the eye opening experience of it all. So and then hopefully it stays with them for a long time. I recently watched a Lifetime movie that tugged at my arts a little bit. As cheesy as it sounds, it was about a team committing suicide, which I've struggled with mental health things before, so I felt connected to it. I couldn't turn it off, but I thought the movie did an excellent job of advocating, Like I just said, the event itself happened fairly early in the movie. Yeah, and the rest of the movie was the fallout of it and then the advocacy of it, and so yeah, I think that's a really important thing to focus on as well. Like you said, it's about relationships and everything else. So oh well, so yeah, I keep up the great work. Bill. I like to start off every episode with that. I think it's important because it is the most important part of the Bill Dumont experience. But rassling talk here wearing some rassling. I'm in the Actually, Jeff tshirts dot com. I have a shirt that says, I think, what does it say, Jeff, I'm in the rassling business. I made my own shirt. Yeah, only I wear it, but nevertheless, yeah, but it's a shirt. Yeah. Anyway, so we kind of last time we recorded, we started on the Invasion angle, and we're going to get back to that. But you're on the road. It takes a little bit more research than I've had time to do because I want to do it right right. So I have been watching a lot of Invasion stuff and well, today we're gonna talk about WrestleMania and kind of current events but we will get back to the invasion. But I did love the I've been watched a lot of like there's like a YouTube playlist of it. And it was when sun Coold was in the ring reeming you on the microphone. Then he went to like Raven and he did it. But yeah, that that was a hapic moment. And how great was he is. I know that like people give him crap or like that that run as the heel is crap, But my gosh, he was great that like chicken shit heal. He was amazing at that. It was. It was amazing to watch. It was a yeah, it was amazing to watch. But then when you were part of some of the stuff that he did, you you found yourself like I always say, like I was a kid in a candy store because I thought it was some of the coolest stuff ever. And that what he was doing that with me at that time. Inside, I'm doing everything to try not to visually look like a little schoolboy going this is the coolest moment in my life. Yeah, because he's coming at you and you're sitting there and you see Mike bees change a little bit, and you see the demeanor change because you either have to get on board with that or you're gonna fall art. And it was just not to sell it. They're just like you can tell deep inside there either think it's the most funny thing ever or they're just trying to hold in their fandom. But no, I wanted to bring that up before we started a date. I don't know what I mean. I get he probably made a lot less money and all that, but it was not a bad It was entertaining as hell, Like I thought, he did a great job. Then you know it got it. We'll talk. I don't want to go in too much detail, but it obviously elevates the kurd Angles and the rod Van Dams of the world. But I mean, I thought it was a great run. I enjoyed it, But people give it a lot of crap. Speaking to give a lot of crap. Let's jump on in Bob Orton's cast. A frequent person that sends in questions wanted to know your opinion on the sea and punk situation, and you I'm kind of caught you up with it a little bit. Yeah, there's a lot of indicators coming out from Dave Melzer and people that they say they had the inside word that they are pretty confident Spunk will come back. That's how the day kind of started today as at this recording, and by the end of the day, CM punk Head had an Instagram post he took down basically calling Dave Meltzer a liar, and because Dave Meltzer I could pull it up here, but he he was touching upon an injury and saying that cmpunk didn't want to do a certain didn't want to go with a certain storyline direction, or do something in a match or something, and Sampunk fired back, calling him and Chris Jericho a liar. He deleted his since then, but man, Bill, as soon as I thought this guy's coming back to make some money, do some good business, it goes right back to square one. And he did note that there's nothing more important to him than his health, obviously well documented. Have you ever heard the Colcabana episode when he went on this podcast. No, I didn't hear it because that was so intense and there was so much built around that, like it's almost one of those things like if it doesn't it's one of those things like if it doesn't concern me, I don't even want to know about it. I don't, so I don't either voice in opinion or say something, you know, out of turn, because there's so much that can be said about Punk without all that stuff. And then the Cabanas stuff just enhanced the you know, enhanced all the issues in the in the the relationship they had. But like Phil always has this way of being relevant. And I'm not sure what happened, But just like Punk, no I said, Phil, I'm sorry it shouting Phil. Punk knows that when you put something on social media doesn't matter if you delete it. Everybody sees it. And I think so the wrestler in me says he knows exactly what he's doing. He's he's driving, he's driving the interest up. But I just don't know. I don't know how much more he can come back after that long of an absence have that great return. He's been hurt too, though, and yeah, and you know, and that's the thing, like, so he was spurt during all this, but that's been forgotten about. So now for him to come out and say, well I'm hurt now, that opens the door for people to bag on them for that, you know, and then they're going to bag on them. Well, if you were hurt of this or that. But you know, well, it's not contract and it's all these other things, and it's the media scrum. I think it in you know, my mind goes wrestling terms. I think everybody gets out there to keep everything relevant. But I'm not sure. I'm not really sure how that would work out to see him come back. I know he's in ae W. I think he'd be needed to come back, But I'm why would you want to put yourself through that? Again? Is what you know? My thing is, So this is why, this is what I'm going to ask you. I have no doubt he thinks he's the best in the world. Yeah, I'm not going to argue it put it that way, but I have no doubt that he thinks at and at what point in time? And I ask you this, Bill, because you took a lot of crap for your to smit when you resign from WWE. How hard is it just to sit there and sit there and sit there all this time and to not say anything. And you got to think he's gone a long time without saying anything. Yeah, and he's not the type of guy not to say something. So as part of it, you know, is the show will go on or is it more or less? How dang hard is it not to say anything when you're seeing all this junk that the day of meltzers of the world are putting out, and you're a guy like him. It's tough because we know it's easy to say because everybody says, well, he's speaking his truth, right, so that only means he only believes it. But you're sitting there listening to all these things for months and months and months, and as a human nature makes you want to, you know, spark back. You got to have a reply. But then you have to sit and think about Okay, now these days Jepps, think about the repercussions, how not only how does it affect me? How does it effect my wife and her business? And how does it effect this? And and and then and for me, I'll speak for myself. Wait, you know that if you address it, you're just adding, you know, would to the fire and then putting these people over for saying it. Here's how you squash something, be quiet, here's how you put it to, put it to bed, put it to rest. And if if it's something that was worth fighting for, I think he would have come out sooner. But I think, you know, it's one of the things you let sleeping dogs lie, let people talk, because it doesn't matter what you say or how you reply, people are just going to keep building it up, building it up, building it up. And I believe that he didn't go there. You know, I don't think Punk came back to have drama after the after the court case and everything. I would the same, yeah, impact for drama, And I think at that time, you know, as a man, sometimes you want to you just want to fight, Oh yeah, because someone's dealing your dirt, you know. But at the other point of professionalism and all these other things, because let's not forget acause other things going on besides just wrestling. This just happens to be what he loves to do and what he's most known for. So it's to hate your question. It's super hard to sit back sometimes and and hopefully you're you're surrounded by the right people that remind you that it doesn't need a reply, don't don't even go there. You know. I think it would be great to see him come back because we see Daniel Brian Brian Danielson correctly, because he's taking an absence, it appears, Yeah, for a while. Run Down a little bit had the amazing Iron Man match that were you and I were talking about before. Yeah, we really tore the house down. Didn't have a storyline, was terrible there were because there wasn't one. But nevertheless the match itself, if we fantasy book it like they do, it was great. Right and he he leaves. Then I start to think, Man, what I can only handle so much Hangman and John Moxley I got I like John Moxley a lot. Actually I'm not the biggest Hangman fan. I think he's good, but like they're really needing somebody because the the vps that are really the center point of their company are kind of more often than not, they don't find themselves in legitimate storylines that are entertaining to me and sense of seriousness and all that. Kind of like a little bit of a little horseplay. I guess you could say, I kind of thing. They need a They need some energy like that CEMPO could bring to the table. Sitting wonder why in a time like because you know we talk about how wardlows in and out hot and co. Well, we haven't seen Miro in forever. Even Hook. You'll see Hook every once in a while, but you it seems like they get people jump started and then they take them away. So then when you're when you're lack of better term, your major players take time off for missing it's it's back to uh, you know, some shenanigans and things like that. But it doesn't really make you like everybody wants to see the action. You can't take away what kind of athletes are talking about the action they put on. But after a while, you want a little bit more substance, I think, and if you're if your Mopsley's aren't there, and you're you know, Christian Cage isn't there and all these and so there's nothing steady for people to sink their teeth into. So I think that's where a punk comes in comes into play, because his storylines are a little bit more uh, you know, they're not in the fast lane. You know, they're not just make shift things, their actual storylines and and I think they've gotten away from that stuff. And you know, for me, you know, everybody has an opinion, right wrestlings an opinion, But there's just so many people there hell that and no matter how many more shows they create, they're still centering it around the same group of six, so it's it's it's very hard to uh listen, it's not an easy job to book or produce it and and do all these things and keep tracopic creatively. But I think there needs to be like a let's let's sit and figure this out a little bit, let's see what we want to do. But I think a punk is definitely needed. The you brought up Christian Cage seeing him back in action, he had he had a buried a live theme matched with jungle Boy, Right, it's good. He is incredible. Is he not one of the most and I'm a huge Christian Cage fan? Is he not one of the most underrated workers ever? Yeah? Where is he? I don't know. I hope he's in the back with Jerry Lynn, arn Anderson, Dustin Rhodes, Billy Dunn, Jaredo, all these guys that have this wisdom, Brian Danielson, all you know, all these guys that have been up and down. Oh maybe you know everybody who's been up and down the road. I hope they're all feeding off of him, because you're right, he might be in You want a top five of top five underrated people in the business ever and Christians that it's got to be in that top five. The guy's a ring general. He's he's very good at what he does. He understands his opponents. I think he did an exceptional job of not only keeping his character doing but raising jumble Boy. But then we don't see jumble Boy for months, so it doesn't make any sense. It's so hot and cold. It's so hot and cold, and then everything, everything else is a car crash. So it's um. He's definitely elevated those individuals that he's been in storylines with. You can see a difference in it. Yeah, I just hope. I know he had a good run with Omega there, good Matt, Honestly, they did some good stuff. Yeah, I just hope that he can. Uh, he's another one that could find his way back in there with a Brian Danielson out of action my opinion. Yeah. So Winter Hale on Twitter, she that's her, that's her working name. I guess Winter Hale. She is a big fan of all my podcasts, so it'll be no different with this one. She doesn't miss an episode of any of them, no matter what they're about. But she she's curious of your opinion our opinion on the talk that Kenny Omega could end up in somewhere like WWE. What, Yeah, why not? You've heard these rumblings right like Omega out VP kind of you know, because Cody got out And yeah, I think I don't think there's that's a far stretch at all. And I feel like because you know, and I think Kenny said it since then at the time, he wasn't ready for that style and that kind of conformity of how the business was warn't run or what was expected of him or ford him, and he wouldn't and did his thing. And I think he's she's I don't think he's grown as a performer. Oh yeah, entertainer. He to me, he's done it all. And anybody I think who's been in this business long enough, and I'm talking about professional wrestling as a whole, isn't the ultimate dream? Isn't the ultimate dream no matter what else is going on to be to make it to the WWE. Everybody could say I've never met one person yet who that wasn't part of their journey. Now was it what they expected? No? Or was it did they want to stay? No? But I think it's just been that that that flag at the top of the mountain for so long, and I've I've said it before, I've said it for years and years, and I'll say it again now. I think Omega's custom built for WWE, and I think it would give him time to build that character. But again, I'd be one of the fearful people of going taking everything he does now and trying to revamp it. And that's where but I don't think you can do that with a with a Kenny Omega. You can't do that with a Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, you know, things like that. But they've done it with so many people where they take this thing that works and they just kind of put their English on a little bit and let's let's rearrange it a little bit and then ultimately you get back to who they are as a character and a person. But that's the long answer for yep. I've heard the rumors. I would be excited for him to see what comes a bit twenty years after the initial run, you know, being in the developmental because and I've said it before, to me, he was the next Chris Jericho years ago. So I think it's not out of the question. I think it would you want to talk about hyping up the industry again a half having Omega walk down, walk down the ramp, or walk out from the thing, people would be mind blown. Well, I think eight okay, Omega's Kenny. Omega's getting close to forty years old. And I think aj Styles was a great example. I think he even thirty six or something, but he's a great example that you know, like if you always hear about how Vince Sigman didn't didn't really realize that that many people knew him. He came out to the Royal Rumble and there's a huge pop. I think that's just an eye opener for a lot of these people. It should be that, and it has been, like Bobby Rude, a lot of these people are getting in on the back half and doing great things. And I think it would be I don't know, it would be a good way, and I think it would. It was kind of hard to picture aj Styles, like really, I'm not saying not doing well, because he could do well at anything. I'm saying it was hard to picturing him adapting and being a part of that. But through his skill set he was best in the world for that. He might be still but I mean he adapted great, he did great stuff. He does great stuff. Hope he gets back sooner erther than later. But and the maturity level changes as they've done. We'll talk about AJ and Kenny and guys like that, and some of the girls as well. The maturity level changes, and you start to see the business differently, and you you know, you start to look at the long term and and and everything. So I think there, while they were all prepared years ago to be there, they weren't ready both in their minds and what they wanted to do and create and be able to that freedom to be themselves and how they perceived their their persona in the business. Now everybody, as they mature, that's when you come back and and go, okay, I can do that and it's not realizing it's not a slide on you as a person or a character and things like that. So I think this is um to me, this is the perfect opportunity of Kenny was thinking about that. But how many more guys have we heard from at you know, at AEW that are I mean, I guess that's the thing now everybody because mjf's been saying in twenty twenty four he's leaving, But now every day there's somebody else thinking about leaving, and my contracts are up and so so here. How does that hurt the business? Now? If you're here in the ftr's not happy, why are we going to get behind them? If they're gonna walk out on us? You know that's the from a fan's perspective, FTR has got to get out of there. I think, uh yeah, been terribly misused. But the last Kenny on Mega thing before we jump into some WrestleMania stuff. They're Bully Ray, which I know you're a big fan of us. It open, you tweet about it daily, you listen to it whenever it's on. Yeah, during the latest edition. This was noted from an article at IT today. It's from Wrestling News. It's, however, on various different sources on what Bully Ray thinks he hear when he hears a pro wrestler, what he thinks when I hear pro wrestler, I think of Randy Orton, not Kenny Omega. Kenny Omega's definitely the best of something in the world. I don't know if the right word is a pro wrestler. So a lot of people are offended by this. But I think you and I have talked about this when I when I think of like a perfect look for a pro wrestler, it's Randy Orton. So I don't really know why this is so offensive to people. Randy Orton is like the definition of what a pro wrestler looks like, So not a bad thing. People that they're not listening to what Bully's saying, I don't think they're they're hearing him. You know. It's like that thing you're listening to Jimmy Hendricks, but you're not hearing him. So all they heard was Randy Orton's professional wrestler and Kenny Omega's not. That's not what he said. But when you listen, I think if you pulled fifty guys that have been in the business and you said, what who do you perceive as the professional wrestler, Randy Orton or Kenny Omega, I think it'd be unanimous. Randy and it's but it's not a knock on Kenny, and he's Kenny's style and what he does in wrestling, nobody can do the guys that an athlete, he's creative. His mind is in the business professional wrestling, storytelling, animation, Can you be entertaining and be believable and and all these things? You know, so I think, you know, sure people are gonna get said, though Bill Billy did Bully did say that he commented on the psychology part of it. He'd love to see a Randy Orton versus Keny Omega, keny Omega verse John Cena, just to see that different psychology part that we haven't seen for him, Kenny Omega necessarily. And it's not saying that he And that's why I say this is the time I believe for him, just like we're saying about AJ, because a lot of people thought the same thing. Well, AJ has a certain style and he can't adapt more to that storytelling and things like that. And he's proved everybody wrong because AJ's one of the best there's ever been and he's he's exploded in the WWE. So you know, but that's the thing. As soon as someone thinks there's a knock, that gives everybody ammunition to say, you know, screw you, bully, you don't know what you're talking about, and this and that, and Randy Orton hasn't been seen in a year. And Kenny o'manga. He's not talking about Kenny as as an athlete, as an entertainer, or as a wrestler. He's just saying the picture of professional wrestler Between the two, the nod goes to Randy and I think it's because of psychology, storytelling, you know all those things, and character. But here's how you prove everybody wrong. Kenny comes over and goes in the program with Orton, and I believe they tear the house down every night. As soon as he adapts his thinking to the way they they like it. You know when I think of aj styles and the Christian Cage and they are so good at not doing things that they shouldn't be doing. And I'll give you an example. Obviously close with Austin Airis, and he tells the story to me frequently about how recently he was at an indie show, doing an indie show, and there was he was with a with a big athletic guy in a match. They're one on one match, and the guy said he wanted to do some high mane, like some ridiculous maneuver off the top roupes. Well, Austin said to him, Okay, well I'm going to choke slam you. And the guy said, well, that doesn't make any sense he and Austin said, well, how does it doing me any good if you're doing that. So I think that's a really good example of not doing things that you really can't do. And those guys just they've exceeded, they've exceeded beyond means just because of that. They're not doing stuff like you could. You look at some of these guys in aw that are big, they're just doing this ridiculous flips and and I don't think they really need to be leave that to the people that they need to do that as for their character. It goes back to our talk about Goldberg and things like that. Just because you can do a standing back flip doesn't mean you should do it. It doesn't fit the build that the You know, maybe there's a time later on in a pay per view or some big storyline where you can pull something like that out. We didn't need to see brock Lessner trying that fourth fift deer Wing Star Star because it took away from everything. We didn't need to see Big Show doing a drop kick from the top rope could he do it, Yes, but he got offended for years because they told him, don't do it, because then you're not a giant. And so we have a lot of big guys now who do these things. It doesn't mean you're not athletic, it doesn't mean people don't think you can do it. It just it doesn't here's a terrible The curtains have to match the carpet, you know what I mean. You can't come out and look like yeah. And here's the example. And here's where hopefully everybody understands what I'm saying. You have a guy like Brian Cage, who is an absolute beast. That's who I was thinking of. By the way, he's as big as a house. He looks great, he's in condition, and he can do some amazing things. But the minute I see him do those amazing things, I lose sight of what a big man he is. And I would so. And I know what he's done before, and I know where he's worked, and I get it. But if you want see to me that longevity of okay, what makes you a commodity? A Christian? Cage all these guys because they know what to do and it has nothing to do with what you can do, it's what should I be doing? Because Brian Cage, to me is a million bucks. Yeah, but when he does, when he keeps up with the Luca Doors or does his stuff that is unbelievable for his size that he can do, it takes me out of big man mode. It takes me away from the look I look at him. I'm expecting this, but then I get the same thing that everybody else is do. So it goes back to just because you can do it doesn't mean should do it. There's a fine line, I think, and I think Keith Lee does a good job of this showing how abnormally athletic he should be for his size without doing something that's so absurd. But no, I think that story from aus Scenarios is perfect. You know, can I Well, then I'm going to joke slam you. I think it says at all that would have been great if I if I was in lockerroom or that I would have laughed and when Yeah, I'm in on that. Yeah, because it just doesn't end. But how do you make them understand that? You turn around and go okay, well it chokes, Well, that doesn't make it. Oh yeah, I think we need a lot more conversations like that though. So let's jump into some WW stuff. We have WrestleMania that'll come out a few days after this. Okay, I'm just gonna randomly start here. Worker a way. This isn't by Mike what I think of importance or priority. So we're talking about confirmed matches. Right. Let's look here, we have Helen a Cell Edge and Finn Baylor. I think it's I think it's gonna gonna be a banger, but Helen a Cell, Right, you don't need a pay per view with three hell and a Cell matches, right. But but I'm gonna go and say this, this match was just made. I understand it's been a little build, right, There's been some judgment based uff and he keep coming back WrestleMania. Both banks have sold out. Where are they gonna go with this that? I don't know where the story goes anymore. As as the demon to see Finn come out and everything he's gonna come out in in a cage, you can't see it so for and I think that's the point is, Well, you've got all the people in attendance, but what about the viewer on the other side of the screen, and I'm gonna be struggling to see these things. Um So, while I think that's a match that could headline any night everywhere anything, what does it mean? Did Okay? So I'm trying to remember here were you there with when he came in developmental. That's another guy that really showed what he could do, but he went to the next level with that demon character and then no more. Yeah, I'm to see the demon back. I hope they do something more with it. That's the introduction to bring it back like that Monday night after and things like that. Then then awesome, Then it makes sense. Listen, that's that's gonna be. That's gonna be a hell of a match. Um. I just don't know where Helen self fits in that, but I think he's another example of these people that get in there there there's several of them that are not dying to get out and go in to like an aw or something like aj Styles and him, like they're they're doing their part. They're doing that. It could be doing more than we even know behind the scenes. But nevertheless, I mean, he has a couple young he has like that oh what's his name? I know his name, but I just faced it. The big guy he has with him, gosh, us champion man, what his name? I'm drawn a complete blank amazing guy is an XT worked his way up. Gosh. I don't know why. I feel like a fool, but nevertheless he does. He's in a position where he can really help develops a younger talent. Yeah, Damnian Priests, by the way, is his name. I just don't know why. It just hit me all of a sudden, I remembered another guy. It's amazing his journey, amazing, his attitude, his work, ethic, everything. He's right where he belongs. He's doing great stuff. And yeah, so so at the end of the day, if that's what Finn Baylor's doing, then he's doing a pretty good job. Yeah. These guys are, I mean they're these guys are wrestling years beyond what used to be when you were in the middle of it a normal situation. Flair will wrestle to the day that he dies every now and then. I get it. There are people doing it, but it's it's more common now and he's another one of them up there. He gets an age and he's just he's doing his part. Yep So no, I just think that's interesting. I do. I don't know. I wonder what's next for Edge? You know, when this storyline fizzles out, it kind of has a little bit, but when it goes, what's next for Edge? He did a pretty good job of he'll Edge maybe face Edge. Yeah, another guy. He's obviously much closer to your age than he is Austin Theory's age. Yeah. Edge has done a great job, and I think he's another person probably doing a lot more that we see behind the scenes. Yeah, it's a yeah. I mean there's the guy we say, like Christian, we're talking about Christian in the other locker room. If you're not if you're not picking Edge is braining, you're not asking him to really sit down with you and break it down and what do you think of what I'm doing? And if you don't know here's what I'm doing it, you know, how can I make it better? Or pitching ideas to him, then you're not taking advantage of that. I like the fact that he doesn't like this this go round. He didn't come in and out. He stayed around, right, So now he's he's involved, he's bringing and I firmly believe that every time he's in there, he lifts his opponents and those other people up. So I think people should take advantage of it because I strangely enough, I think when he's gone again, he may be gone again for a long time. Yeah, great point. We'll move on here. Here we go brock Lesner versus And you know, I'm gonna let you call him what do you call him? What do you call him? Bill? Almost? What's before we get into this. There's a lot of talk going on right now with bray Wyatt documented history of some struggles with mental health. Brock Lesner worded on the street is the dirt sheets. We don't know how true it is or isn't true that he did not want to do to have this match with bray Wyatt, like we talked about in a previous episode when we did a Current Events. I guess we'll say about how Bray White through out there, Bobby Lashley and brock Lesner. Well that's gone now. Word on the street is brock Lesner shot that down, didn't want to work with the character. I don't, I don't. I'm not gonna say it's the person. So he gets into this situation and I'm just like, I don't know. It's like brock Lesner man, like, I know he can throw this a big guy around. This is a big guys yet to develop into what he possibly could. Obviously. Yeah, I feel like Almost has been around a while where we should be seeing more out of him. Hey you're the trainer guy. Hey, he's got a great mouthpiece and MVP now, and I think that's what you have to do with you know, I almost and I don't. I don't wish it. I don't say this is what's going to happen, but I feel like it's a giant Gonzales thing. He's in there for a little bit. You can only do so much with him. So either Brock's gonna go in there and this is gonna be three minutes in and out in one direction or the other. Either Almost is going to be going over in three minutes or Brock's gonna be going over in three minutes. If it goes longer than that, I'd be totally shocked. But what comes out of it? I don't care if Almost wins. What comes out of it? What do you do with him? Now? That's my thing? Okay, So brock Lessner losing to this to that individual. It's not going to do a whole lot of right now, but also almost just getting beat the shit out of him. It's not gonna do anything for him. What do you do with this guy? Can he go back to an NXT now start over? I think you send him back to NXT. It's like the the big, the big bearded Indian guy. He went back to NXT right and his tagging with his with his brother or whatever it is. I forget his name, vier Er Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so here was vier for how a year? He's coming, He's coming all these yet he came there, they did his day, it didn't really resonate. They bring him to NXT. It's not really resonating there either. So how many more guys can you send down to n XT to help them develop? When you have all these guys are to develop, guys and girls are developing, they're gonna pass them by. I just feel like almost as such as such a gigantic man has a great presence for me, just for me, I don't see words gonna go. Even a victory over Brock pleaser of WrestleMania, I don't know where to go. Yeah yeah, And I don't know that. I don't know after what I saw last week, I don't know the believability will be there either, because there was a flop in there. You know, it was a at people with the town on it all we can get out of this is another showcase of how amazing brock Lesner is physically. Oh yeah, because he's either going to have five him ten times or just take him to super Blex City. Yeah yeah, so maybe that's what that match is. We get to see more brock Lesner kicking as I have one of those matches in those nights anyway, and I think that's one of them. Yeah, no, I agree. So the tag team title picture here, they have what is it, the Street Profits, the Alpha Academy, the Viking Raiders, bron Struman. It's just a freaking random now him and Ricochet, b bron Strman back and he's a tag team guy. This match just seems like, hey, we need to have a tag team match then. Not that any of these people are bad, they're not. They're all good, but it's just like, okay, here's another one. What a what am I wanting to get out of this match? Like? What am I? What am I going to see at this match. I don't really know. Here's the good news. I think in the back. Okay, I'm on media, I'm gonna get a pay day, you know, so you have to I think people can justify this. Now with two nights, you can justify this with the two knights. Now one night when you're doing a seven hour freaking show'd you say this shouldn't even be on there? But sorry interrupt you. But yet, with two nights, you can justify this. But it's still going back to that storyline and everything we've already and so unless I'm way up based, we've already got hints of street profits going their own ways, right, yeah, just based off of the singles run and the talent they've shown from what Yeah, we have Braun, Strowman, Monster amongst Men and Ricochet and then Braun said something about how Ricochet worked, and now they're a tag team. I don't see them becoming anything. Ricochet is so good, Ricochet is so good skill set wise, and brons Strum it's so athletic for his size. And then now you have Otis as a male model, and they keep going back to this and that, And don't get me wrong, I think it's entertaining, is hell, I think it's still as entertaining. And then you have the Viking Raiders, who is just the Viking Raiders three point zero now because they've been brought back and built up and cooled off and built up, and it's another big man team that's wasted. So again, this match is a good match for two nights of WrestleMania. But if if you and that's the way I like to look at it, like, hey, that if nothing else, that match is going to be entertaining and the guys work hard. But if you look at it past WrestleMania, if you're being very cynical about where are you going with this? It could be a good match after a really exciting match. Yes, you could start the night off with it, But if you think about it in wrestling terms, what team in that match would face the USOS believably other than the steep street profits that are going this way exactly. So that's like when I look at it, I don't like to look at it like after wrestling, maybe I go, Okay, what is this match going to grab me at least for the night, and other than them being great athletes and all all good men, it's not. And here's the thing. Once it's already paid for, it doesn't matter, so you can't. Nobody's gonna get the blame for being the weak match on the card, right. I think this match is in a position where it can't be critiqued too much because it isn't what it is. We know what it's going to be taking for what it is. Yeah, but what it does show is we need the ftr WE. The WWE needs to have some more tag team strength. Granted, this is something you also have to build. You have to develop this too, but the street profit right, but at least been the knock of WWE and tag teams. Yep, the USOS aren't considered a tag team. They're tag team champions, but they're part of the bloodline. Bloodline runs all they're beyond. Yeah, so there's no there's no look Sammy Zane and Kevin Owens are not a tag team, but they will be right to face USO's what happens to the tag team dimension after because there's no stock in it, so you just look at it is Okay, this is going to be either a great opening match Night one or Night two, or a breakup in between a story build match, you know, so I think they're gonna tear it up. I just like I said, if it was announced before ticket sales, I'm not sure how much attention it would draw. Inter Continal Championship match could be a sleeper here Gunther, Drew McIntyre and Shamus. This Gunther fella is next level. The story is a little strange how it's gone about in different directions, but or less, it is actually the story. There's a story behind, particularly Shamess and jer McIntyre. Yeah, that's I mean, there's the story. To me, it has nothing to do with Gunther. So it's it's you know, and don't still get me wrong. Everybody will tell you they're a hard hitting that's gonna be a hard hitting you know, that's gonna be a barnburner. I think it's just like it was almost disappointing to find out they met to face Who's gonna face Gunther? And then you find out no, you're both facing them. So you've you've let us you know, you've kind of let us along the same thing again, we're still getting the three way dance. I think Gunther versus either one of them single would hold itself up. I think they'd be just man face each other or just them again face each other. You know. So, I think it's a lot of in two nights we have, how many people can we get on the show and keep everybody working and see what we can do with it. I think Gunther versus one of them would be a draw if you were getting ticket sales. I think is a three way. I think people know they could see that on any Monday or Friday night, but it definitely still has the potential to be a good match. Yeah, yeah, Gunther, What's what's twenty twenty three look like for him? What's what's the rest of this year look like for that guy? I think he just keeps running. I think he's his um his I don't I don't want to say performance the night he had at the Royal rumble M next level. He's and he's done everything what I would consider the WWE way right. He's he's changed his body, he's gotten in, he's gotten in longevity shape. Now he's still a big man. He's still his work is still awesome, and he's just to me, like the sky's the limit for him. Still. I don't think we've seen the best of what he can do yet and and or what they can do with it. I agree. No, I mean he's got a future ahead of him. I think within the next year, he's you know, storyliness defending, he finds himself even more of a major player. Certainly won't be a long term storyline with these individuals, but like you said, you got a lot of talent, and I know, like for me, he's got to get rid of his goons. He doesn't need the goons. Fair assessment. I'm not gonna argue yet. I can see both ways. But the guy definitely doesn't need the goons. He doesn't need them. No, he doesn't need them to win matches. He doesn't. No, No, he's a different kind of hell. Right. We talked about Austin earlier. Austin Hell was amazing, but it wasn't this. Uh, I can I'm just the toughest son of He is the toughest son of a guy, right, but it was it was a different kind of hell. Right. He was kind of a cowardly hill. He made it work. But this guns guy, I don't think he can make that work. Like, he's not a cowardly Hill. Was just that he'd just be an asshole. If he starts to have a personality and break character, I think it'll ruin him. He's I think he's amazing right now. I think he's doing really good. Bianca Belair and Oscar going at the Oscar going at the Raw Women's Championship match. Man, Yeah, I know how you feel about Osca's talent. Wiser's not much better. But they're really she's rebranding a little bit. They're bringing her back and they're putting this match together. I have a Bianca Belair is amazing to me, but as tough as she is, and it is the shrink that she has, it's always like the smile like. And I don't really know how Oscar fits into this. I think Osca is probably a good ring general and they'll put together a pretty good match. But I don't know what you do after this or they just I think this is another one. They're just trying to find something for Bianca Belaire in the meantime, but I feel like it hurts Bianca. Bianca to me is another one who's on this trajectory right well, they already squashed oscar Let's sort out by saying that they already took that powerhouse and flushed it down the toilet in the beginning, So proceed on, sorry interrupted you again? So you she's been off, so you cut her hair and she wears the kiddie cat makeup and she does her thing, but it's the same, it's the same gear. Right, She's Peter Priss, Right, so she comes out as beer Priss and nothing if Bianco, who I thought was had this humongous rocket strapped to her back and was I feel like she was in a good mix with like the Bailey's and and doing those things. And then all of a sudden, let's have Osca and Bianca go, and I feel like it's taken. It's taking some of Bianca's momentum away, and right now, for people wrestling purist, Oscar has no credibility. Let's tie this in with another thing bill the other women. There's another women's match that's kind of floating out here on the car is the Rachelle Rodriguez and Live Morgan verse three versus the world. Why can't they be in a storyline like with Bianca bell Air, Like why why do you have these people that are just kind of floating and like why is Live Morgan in this random thing? And what are we what are we trying to do here? Have we had tag team Champions? I don't see them going to tag team Champions? But there's that while Kell Gonzalez should be running with Bianca bell Air, but there's it's that same thing. It's momentum built and who knows if there's injuries or whatever else we don't know about. But it just seems like so many people were red hot. I think Live Morgan was red hot. It maybe too hot. Okay, let's cool her off, right, Let's have Bliss red hot, cooler off, all these things, cool them off. And but you get so cooled off that when you have these potential barn burners and matchups that can go forever, you just throw these matches in. And like I said, if this was and now I know, there's a lot of conversation, Well, the women should be headlining both Knights of WrestleMania. Why why the world would Bianca and Oska be a headlining match wrestling Bianca reminds me of the opposite of the Undertaker, where you got to keep finding people that she can legitimately defeat. That would be Undertaker's got to have some like a giant, right or somebody believable. To me, it's the same with her. You physically look at her, it's like she needs almost that storyline of having to overcome something, and it's kind of hard to get that with somebody like her. You can just see her. She's physically way more and you can see her now if you as you're watching it, you can see Bianca visually be frustrated with some of the the physical stuff that happens. You can see it in her face and see it in her demeanor, like she's struggling to not struggling to stay in here, but struggling to try to make sense of it. She would so benefit from a being with a ring general for more time, But I feel like right now she's just she's in limbo. So I think the match is another one that it can be a good match, but I don't think that's potentially a main match of the thing. I'm I struggle with it because I'm a huge Oscar fan, and they just keep turning her on and off and on and off. Yeah, it's hard to keep it's hard to keep moment in behind her when they're doing that. Yeah, women's matches that were excited about. Here, I'm gonna say we Becky Lynch La Tris stradis first damage control. I think this is a great wrestle mannya thing. When you get Leta and Tris stradis in it. It's this dessive wrestling wrestle manya by definition, isn't it? Kind of this match? I would like to think this is the end of damage control. I would hope so, because I don't get it, and you kind of like you and I talk and then just people in the business, and it's just it's I'm lost on it. And I feel like Bailey's done her job to elevate these two as far as she can. She can do as much as she's gonna do. Yep, yeah, as much as she's gonna do, which is and I don't And here's I just say, like Bill, I don't mean it to be, but how much more can we thumb Bailey down to try to get them to catch up? Because I think Bailey's amazing and I think, yeah, you know, we can can go other places with it. But I think that's gonna be a really good match. I think the people are gonna be happy with it. But I'd like to see this be the end of damage control, and I don't mean the end of their careers. Get rid of them there. If I just let's let's yeah, while we're reevaluating who we have and what we're doing, that should be a conversation. Because they listen, just a star power on one side of the ring. Those girls are gonna have to work three times as hard as they ever did. Yeah, and I think that's you almost win like and like Becky Lynn should be going up against them. But I'm not going to complain because this is a very good moment for WrestleMania. I let you get these two involved. Yeah, no matter what it is. If they just came out and drink a couple of beers Stune Cold Steve Austin, it'd be cool. Let alone to get him in a match. So I'm excited just about seeing them, So I'm not This one works for me, Yeah, it does. So we'll finish up with the women here, op, I mean this one. You know where I'm gonna go here, Charlotte Flair and Ria Ripley went at it again. Are they going to tear the house down this time? Money? I think so? If they don't tear the house down. Someone's been lying to me, and I've been in the wrong business for a long time. I'm a huge well, I'm a huge Charlotte fan from day one. I'm a huge Ripley fan. Yeah, and her year bill this year for her last year and so what is it? It was three years ago where they had their match a WrestleMania, right, yeah, yep. So Charlotte is forget it, Charlotte's she's teflon, She's golden. So now look what Rihe has done in the three years of finding out who she is, building her character, doing the Judgment Day, all these things. She's become the leader of the Judgment Day. She become the voice of all as they show her. Her vocal stuff is great, her physical stuff is great, her appear and to me, she just carries herself the way we all would have liked to see her do three years ago. But it's been so great to watch her build this that this match should be a headliner on either knife and I think this match for the women is going to be a barn. We'll see how long I live Morgan can go on with his status. I question that sometimes is this a ten year thing. I don't question that. With Ria Ripley. Yeah, at one bit, one more women's rest her question and Ronda Rousey needed at this point. I feel like they told us everything we needed to know about Ronda when Charlotte came back. Um, whether it's other commitments or scheduling or you know, whatever it is on Ronda's end, I don't think Ronda's one that you can keep bringing back and expect people to buy into it. I mean they're struggling to do that with Oscar, so they're they're definitely struggling to do it. She has had a wrestle and it and it hurts. It's so hurt. Um, why can't I think of her name Ronda's partner. Um, this doesn't helped Ronda Rousey out anymore. I don't think either. Oh it doesn't. It doesn't do anything for it. And it's not it's not a knock on Ronda, but she's not a brock lessner. She didn't make her name in wrestling, wrestling, wrestle, you know what I mean. And she did a MMA and it's not I'm not saying she's a superstar, she's an athlete. She's amazing. Yeah, I mean she's amazing, but it's just not if you keep bringing her in and out. I think it dull ins the blade every time and it's less effective. And that's what they do with her too, right, And it's where she's at with her skill set. Yeah, not quite there. But she's never really had the time everybody else either. Yeah, you know so, I mean she'd had to go way up and be on Yeah, and the individual either Basler. Yeah, she's had a couple times where I don't know why I couldn't either. She's had a couple of moments where you thought, like, man, she's on a path. Yes, yes, and I was like, oh, okay, here we go. And then but they have some talent there in the in the women's division, for sure. It's just what do you do with it? How do you use it? And how do you center it around the Bailey's and the Becky Lynches And Charlotte said, how do you elevate them at the same time they get all that put together, they'll be fine. But yeah, well, to be allowed this something that I think that I'm man, I'm not even most excited about this than anything, Honestly, Seth Rawlins and Logan Paul love it. Gosh, that's gonna be awesome, isn't it? Love it? It's it? Could it could possibly steal both nights. Can Logan Paul do this again? Can Logan? Can Logan Paul put in a seven star match? I'm just kidding, He's never got ready, but can Yeah? Can he get to the eighth star of this time with Seth rawlins H? Logan Paul can come in blindfolded, um his feet in the hands shackled, and he's gonna get in the ring with Seth Seth Rawlins and Seth is gonna make this match amazing. Seth is truly I've been calling Seth the captain for years. He might be the best wrestler in the world. Yeah, yeah, you know, he's just he's got it. And I think this match, You're right, that's what I look forward to, and I think it's one. It's gonna be entertaining, but it's gonna be good stuff. I don't know what they're paying Logan Paul. I know it's a lot of money, but I think if the investment's been worth it, oh yeah, hands down, hands down. I mean, this guy is a nap Churroll. You think about all the different people that the wrestling industries try to bring in over the years, whether they're social media people, influencers, whether they're athletes. This guy's just I mean, I thought the guy from Arrow was great, Stephen Abel, I thought he was great. Yeah, But then you have Logan all come in, and it's a whole other level. It's like, holy crap. If you could have Logan Paul every day for three months, oh my gosh, yeah, you'd think he was You'd think he was a twenty year veteran. I think that's where his abilities are as an athlete, and and just you know how his mind works and how he picks things up, and and and I don't know, I don't know this for a for a fact, but everything I've seen it shows he's a fan of the business. Exactly. Yep, exactly. It's not like bringing John Stewart ed and him randomly, Uh didn't want somebody to bring Reeflayer's ranger. I don't know. We'll go on here, no, but I'm I'm excited about that one. I do think it is gonna be good. I really do. Austin Theory and John Cena, John Seda's back. Have you got into this one that much? Where are you out in Austin theory? Well, I think we've talked about it before. I've known him since he's what nine ten years old. He's come around Deep South, and I know his luck for the business, and he's a student of the game. Forget about his physical studies, mister Georgia and all these other things, but he's a tremendous athlete. He's the futures in front of him. No matter what happens here, he gets to rub from being in the ring with John Cena. I don't know if necessarily like I'm expecting the Seventh Star match, but I think it's I think it's gonna be exactly what it was made to do. Is it a main match on the card? I don't I feel funny saying I don't know if it is, but John Cena apt can it not be? So? Again? We have so many belts going around. Now that there's so many belts, I'm having a hard time. Austin's got to come out of this win or lose. He comes out of this on top um. I think it's gonna be a good match. I think the people will be into it. I don't think it's a storyline going further than this, so I could be wrong. So yeah he could, I mean he could, but I think you don't. You didn't get the Rock triple h no longer going to compete John Cena. It's not bad having him around for Russelmannia. I'd say, yeah, it does. Listen, anybody in their right mind if John said he was going to come back and at least make a run and get you the Menia, you jump on and go, yes, sir, I agree, all right. Usso's Sammy Zane, Kevin Owens. This is a very predictable thing. They were either going to go with Jay and Sammy and some weird We don't know how that would have worked out. It could have pulled maybe they could have pulled it off. But this is what we got, and this is what we knew he'd have, and the story continues, great greatest, greatest story in wrestling. It's beyond the belts at this point. If if the tag team Belts go to uh, mister Owenson, Sammy's saying, I don't know what you do next. If it's not the USOS, but the USO's are at a point now where tag team titles are just kind of them or that it's just a part of them. Now it's it's like, yeah, they're beyond it. They're beyond it. It's just their way above the title. At this point, there has to be there. In my mind, there has to be a swerve here. Something has to happen with a storyline, Something has to happen here, whether it's Jay, whether it's Kevin, whether it's Sammy, whether it's Jimmy, whether it's Solo. Something has to happen here where there's a swerve. But this, this match is probably going to garner more attention than any match on the card, and you're work Obviously you're excited about it. He dare I say bigger attention than Cody in Roman. Yeah, it's it's what Sammy Zane has done and then you you're never going to turn down. And what I like watching Kevin Stein. There's some people that yeah, in the UH on the podcasting wrestling world that crap on him, but now I have no problem with him. I think he's amazing. But yeah, well, Sammy Zane has been able to do with the Huso's is UH is amazing. But I don't know if if Jay, let's say Jay does something. Jay has kind of elevated himself a little bit higher. But if you're not careful, if he does if there is a swerve, as you say, I, let's say Jay breaks apart. You got to handle this well because this is only going to end in a few ways. Right, It's going to be eventually Hendersh's brother, and then that's just bad news for Jimmy. In my opinion, it could be good for Jay if it's done right. Yeah, but I don't I don't know. You gotta do it right because you could lose both of him if you do that, you could have you could lose. Jimmy's gonna hurt without Jay. Jay could probably do find on his own. But if the story is bad, then what do you do with him? After that? Jay becomes the leader of the bloodline and Roman disappears. Yeah, so many things, And that to me, that's the beauty of it. Like if you could sing here and go, oh what about this? But wait, this can happen Like that's the beauty of it. And all these men have done an amazing job. So and I meet personally, I'm more, I'm more excited, not taking anything away from anybody. I'm more excited for the USSOS versus Sammy and Kevin then I am for Cody and Roman. I think Cody and Romans gonna be is exactly what it should be. But I'm more excited to see this the Ussos and Kevin and Sammy. The Cody Roads story is awesome, but it's almost secondary at this point to this bloodline stuff. So we gotta see where it goes next. We honestly don't know. That's what it makes it so great. That's why it's been a great story. The big match though bill Mania ends, you think with a baby face going over, what do you think or where's our a swerve here? I don't know what the swerve would be. I would love Mania. It could just be Roman Rane's winning. That that's pointing the way the wrestle Mania is set up. A lot of the time Roman Rand's winning would be a swerve almost. It could be that Roman wins. And then so you think to yourself, what do you do with Cody now? Or now let me really, let me really get the wrestling brain working out of all this stuff. At the end of the day, and you heard Cody say it. At the end of the day, Hayman just becomes an advocate for someone, right, there's the shot. Yeah, well, how do we know Hayman doesn't become Cody's advocate. So there's there's a lot of different ways to go with it. And I think it's it's genius, but I don't know. I don't know. If Tody doesn't walk out the champion, I'm not And here's the thing. As fans, we shouldn't have to know. We shouldn't we should you'd have to tune in. That's why it's good. Yeah, when people digest it, I'm like, I'm here saying I don't know what it could be, and that makes me feel good about it because if you can say on this, you know, we've talked about some of the match and go, we know this is gonna go, or we think we know, but this one you're going, I don't know how and can go. And that's what that's what brings you into it. And so I it's again, it's an exciting match. It's gonna be a great match. I just don't know where where it goes. And like, if you they have me hooked already because I'm guessing so if I sit here, if I sit there next week and something crazy happens, I'll lose my mind to go. I never saw it coming. And that's the be to me. That's the that's what we're missing. We're missing that and that's why this Blood Life thing has been so so awesome to through this whole thing. Yeah, my closing thoughts on it really are so happy for Cody. But I'm also realizing that this push for room and rains throughout the last So I don't know seven wrestleman he is with the Lessner and and and the Undertaker. He's there, man, He's been there. He's the guy, and I'm just so thankful that he's been around and a couple of years that he's had has been amazing. Yeah, this is like what it seemed like. They're trying to force down our throats and a lot of people thought they were crazy. Now nobody's saying anything. From the from the minute he was in FCW, when he walked in the room, you knew he was somebody, you know, you didn't know what kind of somebody, and dust you would always say, he goes the hell with wrestling. This kid's a movie star. Dust he always said he eat bullet. Yeah, he goes. They try to get this kid to be a champion. He's a movie star, and you see it in the last couple of weeks. Go back a couple of years, and they were forced feeding him to everybody, and people weren't digesting it. And I don't think I can't speak for him, but I don't think Roman was digesting it either. But the minute he set his feed in and dug in and let it ride, this is exactly what everybody. This was the investment that they put in years ago, and it's paid off in spades, and it's it's elevated so many more people. And this, this guy is gold. So I'm I'm like this Wrestleman. You know, we've talked about some things don't make sense, but this WrestleMania. Both knights, I think are gonna be awesome. I'd I'd be shocked if someone was, if anybody left disappointed in any match. You know, you go back to rock and almost said Dave Meltzer, Well, I think he's going to be disappointed. We got his reviews of Wrestleman you already written up. So he's just waiting for the show to be over so he can post his post his reviews on matches that didn't happen yet. Um but uh yeah, Dave Meltzer might have a different thought than everybody else. But I'm excited for what they're gonna do. I'm I'm I'm happy that in both nights they have the crowds they have. I'm always happy for the guys and girls who got to do that because there's nothing there's nothing better, And if you ever want to test your your merit and your will to perform, that's the biggest stage to do it. So I think it's uh, I think it's gonna be interesting. I think there's gonna I think there's gonna be a few surprises too. I think there there has to be. I think there has to be a few surprises. I think there's a few people that we haven't named that aren't a part of WrestleMania that will be a part of wrestle media. So it's either to be very confusing or very very cool to see what happens. And that's why I make stressful, that's why you watch WrestleMania. Yeah, well, Bill, no, I could talk wrestling with you all day, but I gotta I know, you gotta get to bed. We gotta get you to bed, buddy. No, it's always very catching up with you, man, And I'm so excited about wrestling, man, and we'll talk about it on the back end, yes as well. But yeah, two nights. I love the two nights thing. By the way, it is much better than the seven hour show. I'll take two nights because, if you think about it, we'll sit through four four hours each night and not blink twice. Nobody if you sit through seventh straight, you know. So what what here's so, here's a little behind the curtain. What everybody should realize is they're watching a seven hour show, but for the men and women performing, that's an eighteen hour day. Yeah, they're there so early. Then there's media productions, these things, you know, and everybody thinks it's just catering. No, it's such a long and busy day. And for them to have that break, you know what I mean, it's it's nice because you'll split the cruise. Let's say knee Okay, first night they'll take the reins and then the second night that you know, day two will take the reins. It's such a. It's such a nice break for everybody, but I think for the fans it's it's it's turned into something that is a better experience. So I'm looking forward to it. I think it's gonna be I think it's gonna be great, and then I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens out of it. And it's always great for the city involved too.
